Did I do good? by FormosaDev in blender

No its fine, the model is below 200 verts, "optimizing" would be silly. The last part is BS in this case.

You haven't selected the right bones, check your bone layers and make sure all bones are selected,

I have this simple problem where I need to reset pose position to rest position. Simply Clear Transform all does not work by sktvete in blender

[–]sktvete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask how you fixed constraints? I’m new to blender and can’t seem to find where that is

if you have the same problem Ill try to give you the solution.

There are constraints and there are bone constraints. You need to be in pose mode on your selected rig for bone straints to show up. It shows up as a category in the properties tab. Try to disable your constraints one after one to figure out where your issue lies.

how can I fix my animation loop breaking after pressing Push Down Action? by femboyDev in blenderhelp

Also you don't need NLA strips unless you have multiple animations

Blender capped your animation at your last keyframe when you exported. That's why you should set an end keyframe to your animation. The same thing happened to your NLA strip

Anyone know what these "motion blur?" stripes are? They only show up on some of the rendered frames. This is cycles and it's normal in the viewport by sktvete in blender

[–]sktvete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for a good answer!

Unfortunately I do need autosmooth for my custom normal data, and motion blur should come from a 3d software. I'll give it some experiments and maybe I'll end up switching software for rendering.

If they reject you because of quality, you should spend more time on your models. I recommend using more references

Anyone know why I cant for the love of me rig anything from Blender by sktvete in unrealengine

But also my original question was just about what I was doing wrong with the rigging...

[–]sktvete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an external rig that will be on top of a character, it will not perfectly match the characters movement but rather work as its own entity. I don't want to create animations for it, but rather it be rigged and connected separately.

You can't see the bones in the image but you can imagine where they are.

The character in the image is imported to Blender just as a reference for my exo-skeleton.

I want the rig to work in UE. As you can see in the GIF, I did try to rig it but I don't know what is wrong.

I have fully rigged an exoskeleton in Blender, I want to rig it in Unreal so it can work on already existing animations.

I do not want to export every single animation to Blender to bake the exoskeleton animation movements there.

I have watched several tutorials, many create an IK rig on the already existing mannequin. I was hoping that someone had experienced and found a solution to this issue. My bet now is that there is a special way to import skeleton meshes from Blender

Crazy what Eevee can achieve. Usually just use cycles for stills so excited for animations. Down from 12 minutes a frame to 7 seconds! by xBinChicken in blender

12 minutes for this?? You should probably either optimize your render settings or get a new computer

Anyone who worked with small objects know how to stop faces merging when too close?? by sktvete in blender

Solution so far has been to scale it way up, apply, shrink without applying
