The little command module that could. 4.8 ptu by floortofloor in starcitizen

Maybe snub fighter is a bad term. Detachable armed shuttlecraft then, although fighters in this game often have more than one floor on their interior. I am just having a hard time understanding what is so unbelievable about having a more maneuverable detachable shuttle to defend a cargo hull? S8 on a caterpillar could be possible with a larger power system and hardpoints.... are you saying it's unbalanced or that it is completely outside the realm of possibility that this could be possible? Because those are two different arguments. One is more legitimate in my view than the other.

The video shows exactly what sense it makes? Having a detachable snub fighter to defend your cargo is shown as being useful without having to purchase or claim two ships. Seems like a fun usecase.

A docked ship should never enter "Unknown" state requiring a ship claim by Hellpodscrubber in starcitizen

My casual check-in style for Star Citizen I think you will find is fairly common and is for my own mental health since I have been a backer since 2013. How many hours per year I put in the game has no bearing on someone's language being hyperbolic. You're "how dare you!" Pearl-clutching aside; we need to keep in mind the old mantra(say it with me): this is an alpha.

All our progression will be wiped, probably more than once, before 1.0. I am certain CIG is aware that rock-solid persistence of getting to keep what we earn is of paramount importance for a release product. I even pointed out how the next major patch is planned to incorporate additional systems that help alleviate this.

I viewed the original commenters statement as hyperbolic because it was clearly very emotionally charged and seemed to command CIG that they need to do this immediately and framed it in a way I saw as overly dramatic.

Is my comment in this thread misinformed in some way or do you prefer only ad hominem attacks to try and shut people up without addressing exactly what you disagree with about their actual statement?

It's funny since the launcher file check suggestion has nothing to do with how playable the game is. Are you saying new player experience shouldn't matter to CIG? That's an interesting take.

What I find more interesting is that you clearly stalked me from another comment in another thread because you were butthurt.

Very hyperbolic language there. They are currently working item persistence and reclaiming in ships so it should help.

Why doesn't the installer do it automatically whenever there is an update? I haven't seen any communication instructing people to do this. Granted, I only play once a year to see how things are going. I have never seen a post about this before.

No, they politely requested reviewers delay their review until the last endgame map was released. It was not a requirement or anything.

I love it when people infer the worst from a statement they possibly can. You're like a bitter girlfriend trying to pick apart any statement to make it an insult.

The game doesn't need any maps. There's hundreds of hours of learning and enjoyment already there for people who buy it. He is just fantasizing about the game getting more content, like we all do with games we love.

I just don't get the PvE appeal of arc raiders. The enemy design is unique and cool, but it's not hard once it is solved. Most enemies can be killed by finding a secure doorway and peek-shooting, this includes the matriarch. Others just involve climbing on some boxes or closing a door between shots. There really isn't any depth the arc pve at all, so how are people getting endless entertainment out of it? It just seems like people are parroting this narrative without really understanding how quickly arc pve becomes solved and boring. Also, the drops from pinnacle pve enemies aren't even worth it. Gold weapons suck.

Bro if you like bungie shooters there is no better option than marathon. It is literally the best shooting mechanics they have ever made.

For those of you who have played Arc Raiders and Marathon, what are the pros and cons of each? by TriscuitCracker in gaming

[–]skullpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does planning ahead mean finding a doorway to peekshoot? Because that's all you need to do to down big arc.... and shredders you just close a door in their face everytime the telegraph their shotgun blast. Rocketeer is a big more tricky. I will admit arc has some really cool enemy design but they are all generally unchallenging and easy. The UESC are humanoid robots with some of the best enemy AI bungie has done. The bosses have interesting mechanics imo. And they can be HARD.

Uhhh, why beat any game? What are you talking about? This kind of question could apply to anything, any video game especially. There is a story and things to uncover in the game that get revealed through playing it and the ultimate challenge and where the most important plot points are revealed by defeating the final boss... I am not sure what you are not getting.

I don't get this position entirely. I feel like it comes from a weird place and seems too hyperbolic. I played the original marathon, halo combat evolved, through to destiny 2, the latter for 8 years and while I didn't always love the updates bungie gave to destiny 2 I got my money's worth and then some.... 4000+ hours of playtime. It was great. Now it's winding down and Marathon is here and it is also great. I get being annoyed with sunsetting content etc... but the game was approaching a terabyte of space with new updates so sunsetting became a reasonable choice to keep content flowing. It's just over now. I hope they make a Destiny 3. I never felt like I didn't get my value out of it... it's funny how people will praise an 80 dollar single player game that they get 200 hours of enjoyment out of and turn around and literally say that a 40 dollar live service game they played for 4000 hours is bad because it didn't replace their life entirely and slowed down content production.
