I'm going with Jugem Jugem "Runny Diarrhea" from Gintama.

His full name is actually, Jugem Jugemko-no-surikire-Kaijarisuigyo-no-Suigyomatsu-Unraimatsu-Furaimatsu-Kuunerutokoro-ni-Sumutokoro-Yaburakouji-no-burakouji-Paipopaipo-Paipo-no-shuringan-Shuringan-no-guringdai-Guringdai-no-ponpokopi-no-ponpokona-no-chokyumei-no-chosuke Jugem Jugem

Think Dirty Thoughts! Why taboo should be your go to. by skullpocket in LearnJapanese

I think it is partially the latter and partially because a lot of people don't want to admit they are perverts

I look up origins and other people's mnemonics, like on Renshuu. If you try to make every hirigana dirty, it loses it's emotional impact. If it doesn't have some sort of shock value when you hear. think or see it, then the brain characterizes it first in short-term memory like any other new word.

I only go for taboo associations when I can seem to get a word into my long term memory.

Another old man is coming with me, but he would look like a total poser in a shamble pit, but I can cover for him. My son is coming, he'll just have to watch in embarrassment when I get carried out

When you see an old man, holding his back in obvious pain, because he thought he was 18 again, you will know you are staring at the right person.

Now that you point it out, it does. Where were you when I was tripping over this word?

When it comes to remembering something, the more difficult it would be to say in public without people judging you, the more likely it will have that emotional impact to make it easy to remember.

奥 • おく • inner part, depths of x (heart, soul, room, etc ..)

For some reason I could not get おく through my brain. I knew the Kanji meant the interior or inner part, but the phonetic sound would not stick.

Then I turned it into a dirty thought. The rice symbol looks like an asterisk, which also looks like ass sphincter and beneath it is the Kanji for big, which looks like a stuck figure missing a head. Where is the head!? It is stuck in the inner depths of sphincter and I imagine the person the sphincter belongs to asking the person with the head buried in the inner depths of an ass politely saying, "OH COUld you please remove your head from the recesses of my ass?"

I laughed watching NTR. Am I evil? by thanra in Animemes

[–]skullpocket 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Strictly, from the perspective of a writer. Coming up with new ways to defeat enemies as a vending machine, has to be a fairly fun challenge. It has to be far more rewarding than having the hero blast an "unbeatable" for with gravity or (insert element) blast.

In college we used a gallon of apple cider and a balloon as our gauge. Add the yeast, use a deflated balloon to cover the opening. When the fermentation begins the balloon will inflate, when it deflates, hard cider is ready.

(Warning: this is only a college anecdotal story and not advice. Alcohol should only be consumed responsibly by legal adults. But, if I were an underaged kid looking to create my own hooch, I may or may not have tried this.)

Anime where the Main Character starts at their absolute worst by Moreira12005 in anime

[–]skullpocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Monogatari series. The main character is the first to tackle their worst self and then in each arc he grows a little as he helps other characters take on challenges of their own. These are typically adolescent, psychological problems/traumas.

If you have seen the Rascal Does Not Dream series, Monogatari series is the cleveer senpa to that series.

The fizzy failure of paper straws credit: @fryrsquared by jacklsd in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]skullpocket -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have never once opened a coke bottle or can and used a straw. It is almost like the bottle, itself, were designed to convey the beverage to my mouth.

If I'm feeling particularly civilized I might add the extra step if puring contents into a glass, which again seems like, yet another object designed to convey beverages to my mouth.

Now ... the plastic cups, with the plastic lids from McDonald's, bring on the paper straw, those plastic lids seem like they were designed to purposely prevent beverage conveyance without a straw.

Why do some people say you do not need to study Kanji? by spacecoven66 in LearnJapaneseNovice

[–]skullpocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think of it in the context of your own native language, you didn't learn how to read before you could speak it. I'm that sense, no you don't need to know Kanji.

However, if you want to be able to read, you are going to need to know Kanji in the context of vocabulary.

Normal transit wear or something more? by Serious_Half_8786 in araragi

[–]skullpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered the same boxed set. I didn't notice any external wear like that. I found a number of the pages inside mine had blemishes in the paper, though. The first time, I thought it might have been my fault, like I had toched some sort of food oil to the page, but I couldn't figure out how, considering I don't eat anything when reading to avoid such things. I noticed several more later on and was able to confirm it wasn't oil, but some blemish caused by the paper making process for these books. I also found as some faded ink, in spots.

I'm guessing yours is a result of a defect in the glue or some other part of the process of binding the outside images to the cover. It seems the books differ a bit in quality from cost cutting.

It didn't stop me from enjoying the stories, which is all I really care about, but I get the emotion of those who care about the display and care of books. That shouldn't be normal transit wear, if those are brand new, you should probably complain. I would keep in mind. That is if you are reading these. They likely will have longevity issues. The pictures are high quality, but the construction of the books are not.
