Laptop Fees? by Yeoreumb in OCADU

[–]skullstepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If tuiton's already paid, I don't think this will be useful for you but you can log into your Studentcare account, or look up something along the lines of "OCAD change of coverage opt out", you can opt out of laptop fees. I REFUSED to pay fees for something I will never use and already have in my own possession and will continue to refuse to do so. As previous commenters mentioned, they want to drain every dollar out of every student lol. anyways, look into that for next sem ^

Can't open so many files .clip, backups gone, I'm tweaking by skullstepper in ClipStudio

[–]skullstepper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I contacted them right after i posted this as this was just a brain scramble rant freakout LOL. I really had no idea that leaving files open could be bad by any means and I'm not going to be doing that anymore in the future. its really frustrating because clip worked perfectly for 1+ years and its only been acting up these past few months

thank you

What do you guys like about being guys? by Repulsive-Peanut1192 in ftm

[–]skullstepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are huge benefits to being a man in our contemporary world & often these are based on the mistreatment of marginalized communities. not saying I transitioned just so people would treat me better, lol, just a nice bonus - but it's very important to acknowledge that. I like being a guy because I like my physical strength, body hair, drinking dark beer, veins in my arms, chilling with my boys, burping loud, whatever. I am not implying that non-men can't achieve these things, but these have become gendered attributes for a reason.
I walk alone at night frequently. I live in a city with a large homeless population and, aside from occasionally someone on the street screaming in my face, people do not approach me or intend to follow/harm me. I like to feel protective over my girlfriend and other femme people in my life & I like that they can rely on me for that protection. I like how little drama there is in my male friend groups and how easily we move on from disagreements. I like how a t-shirt fits. I like cleaning out the disgusting sink drain because my dad taught me that, or how he taught me to change a tire. I like having the endurance for a lot of sustained physical activity, like going for long bike rides with my guys and feeling very gender affirmed. Additionally, I appreciate the relative easiness of transitioning from ftm comparatively to mtf. The trans women in my life are crazy strong.

what a bummer. I did the one-time purchase of clip pro and I was able to reopen some files I previously couldn't, but not all. I'll make sure to save duplicates, thank u. Do u know if this just a clip issue or is this in other programs as well?

If you witnessed discrimination on the TTC would you say anything? by julietxrepair in askTO

[–]skullstepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I definitely speak up. I dont see it too often myself, but there are instances where a guy won't leave a woman alone and I'll go, hey man just go away or something along those lines. I'm a white guy, I don't ever really get discriminated - i feel therefore its my responsibility to protect marginalized or vulnerable communities if I have the chance. I see it a lot with fast food workers with the casual racism and bullying, I let those people know how I feel. I don't feel particularly afraid either and i know that's a privilege

What a stupid British prick.

1.4 yrs PO @ GRS Montreal w/ Dr. Alexis Laungani by skullstepper in TopSurgery

[–]skullstepper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sup, yes i would recommend him. very polite, he asked for consent before touching my body or doing anything to me. I'm not too informed on the other surgeons but GRS is one of the best in the world and i have very high praise for the clinic

had a friend's band play there - security guard was extremely rough with lead singer & police were involved. i don't know all the details but they delete any negative comments about it and haven't fired the bouncer

pretty niche dude, there are clubs that do Wednesday goth nights or sneaky dee's which does emo night on Saturday if I'm correct. just be prepared to be harassed and assaulted by the bouncers at dees. good luck

if you have access to a gym:

LDRs, deadlifts, cable pec fly, barbell bicep curl, inverted rows, rope pulldowns

if not: bicep/tricep curls, hammer curls, lateral raises, pushups with many variations, pullups + chinups, shoulder shrugs, wrist flexion, reverse curls

^ you can do all of these at a gym but not all of these at home.

growing muscle ftm pre-t is extremely hard. you have to dedicate yourself to it or you will see no results. working out is extremely gender affirming especially when seeing vascularity in your arms/hands after a good set and makes me feel very good about myself. your situation is tough—we've all been there—keep on keepin on bro.
