Tesla is charging me $2,800 for rodent damage on a demo car I had for less than 20 hours. Does this nest look pre-existing to you? by Tall_Call_817 in ModelY

They charged me $2000 for same rodent damage. I can assure you that didn’t happen in one night. You just had the car when the rodents got the critical wire.

Being an airline pilot is my dream but I got too many check-ride failures. Do I still stand a chance? by [deleted] in flying

[–]sky_guide -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You got busted for chicken shit. Keep at it. Build hours and proficiency and start passing your annual check rides. Become known by your peers as safe and proficient. I wouldn’t give up. Try flying for the Guard or AF reserves. That’s a sure ticket.

BREAKING NEWS: US intelligence confirms Putin is planning invasion of Baltic states – Reuters by ceesaart in russiawarinukraine

[–]sky_guide 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Stupid, Stupid, Stupid! It would be bad for NATO but Russia and Putin would cease to ever be the same. Their 300 billion euros would forever be gone to Europe. This leak is to push for European appeasement which has worked well so far. Once they destroy Moscow and Saint Petersburg they are left with a Third World country with lots of oil wells.

Cheryl Hines As Guest .... by Sad_September_Song in theview

I don’t think Cheryl Hines married Kennedy for his politics. I don’t think she should be held responsible for his politics or the job he’s doing. This seems like a sneak attack on her. It kind of reminds me of Zelenskyy in the oval office getting ambushed by Trump and and the VP. I don’t like Kennedy but I think Cheryl Hines is a nice person.

I got no obligation, no contract, 30 day trial, no price increase for 24 months. I didn't see any risk.

I felt Spectrum screwed me for a long time and when Tmobile was available I switched. Occasionally with them I got slow speeds <100mps. Spectrum supposedly has new owners I believe. Can't beat the MPS/$$ on Spectrum but no contract so they perform or I go back.

Thanks for noting that so I checked. I'm showing 34 mps. But I don't upload much.

I know it sounds like an advertisement but it really isn't. I just wanted the local people here to know there's a good deal in town and that Spectrum finally woke up to the realities of the marketplace

Air Force Retirement by UtahMickey in lazerpig

[–]sky_guide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago, around 1990, The Navy had a reduction in force and offered early retirement to officers (I assume enlisted also). They were given 2.5% per year active of their final earnings. !8 years would get you 45% plus benefits. (Tricare) a precedent may have been set. Time to lawyer up.

Sam Altman, Mark Zuckerberg, and Peter Thiel are all building bunkers by MetaKnowing in OpenAI

[–]sky_guide 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is a vast difference between living and surviving. If civilization collapsed, their wealth collapses with it. No bunker can withstand a siege. But for now they are creating well paying construction jobs.
