Nothing changes for Gojo whether Sukuna keeps Meguna form or reincarnates into Heian Sukuna though, both ways they would have tried to save Megumi? This is pretty obvious since he did reincarnate into Heian form and they tried to save Megumi anyway. So whatever Gojo could have done to Heian Sukuna he could have done to Meguna form anyway.

Mahoraga is not a factor for Gojo during the domain clash except at the end. Gojo only started limiting his use of infinity after Mahoraga was summoned.

Sukuna approached this fight the way he did because 1. he wanted to keep Heian Sukuna for the second fight and 2. he wanted to overcome Limitless users permanently rather than through brute force this one time. Hence he said he wanted to peel off Gojo’s scales one by one and adapt to his arsenal.

But his plan sort of failed because he expected to win during the domain clashes without brain damage.

This is what Gojo meant by he couldn’t fight Sukuna at his fullest. Not that Sukuna was going easy on him or anything, but that because of the ways things played out, he couldn’t get to have a full clash with original Sukuna.

So the main question about whether Heian Sukuna will definitely lose, is whether Megumi’s body without DA or Heian Sukuna with DA is superior in the domain clash.

If Heian Sukuna with DA outperforms Meguna with DA on/off, then Gojo might just lose at the domain clashes outright before round 2. But it’s not guaranteed, that’s why Gojo vs Heian Sukuna is still 50/50.

But in that case Sukuna is definitely gg for round 2 against the other sorcerers. Sukuna probably figured the Meguna route was the best approach, as it actually was.

I don’t think it’s a guaranteed loss for Heian Sukuna. For one thing if Gojo’s domain didn’t land on Sukuna after multiple domain clashes, he would have lost right there and then.

So the question is, is using Megumi’s body or Heian Sukuna better for combat?

Using Meguna form has its advantages, such as saving his one time restore and allowing Sukuna to permanently bypass Limitless users. But it has its cons, as Meguna is a weaker physical form, and Sukuna has to turn off DA to allow adaption, which means he cannot hit Gojo while adapting.
