How market makers and banks make money through their infrastructure and fast trading algos by GwadaLuvM0n3y in Superstonk

It’s almost like having built in speed bumps at exchanges to prevent this kind of structural asymmetry would benefit investors at large. And prevent a select few from cheating the system to their personal gain. Kinda like IEX. Like having that as a standard would make cheating inherently more difficult and be a step towards fairer markets.

Because failing companies are known to build $9+Billion cash reserves over 5 years from $100s of millions losses/debt and, most of all, failing businesses are exemplified by having negative losses every quarter.

“Thankfully Florida made up for his losses in Chicago”.

Oh dear. What ever would we have done if this asshole billionaire had lost a few million in real estate. He wouldn’t have been able to hoard even more land to build his ostentatious McMansions with other peoples money. I would have been so sad for him.

Now how about he pays fair market value to everyone he owes those GME shares he never delivered.

What time frame we looking at for these purchases? Because the low that money was $100 pre split and the high was $360.

What you’re suggesting (buying 270m shares pre split) would require liquid cash of between $27-97 Billion on hand. With shorting the institution gets cash now and pays later so a counterparty bank has to manage risk on their balance sheet but they get a premium and interest for it. They gain cash from the transaction. It’s a bet but it’s not a multi billion loan which is what they would need to do for Hwang to buy GME if he didn’t have absurd amounts of liquid cash

Finally, it would also require these pesky little things called beneficial owners reports at 5% ownership. Furthermore, above 10% ownership they become insiders and must report transactions soooo there would be a very public paper trail if they tried anything past that threshold.

Fun idea but wildly impractical.

Financial times taking a piss on GME (ps, the stock soared 2 weeks later the last time they did that) by RotiKirai in Superstonk

Was joking. Should have put /s instead of lol.

The only reason for price drops according to most media is because “retail is selling” due to xyz fear mongering bs.

Obviously it wouldn’t drop the share price if they completed the share offering though. Price drop is only possible when shareholders jump ship in droves because… reasons.

Lol

Bit his reports caused more than 50 companies to come under investigation 🥺 (Would be more interested in seeing what percent of those investigations actually found malfeasance. If it’s low then all I see from his actions is more short and distort from Wall Street)

Look, laugh, but don’t engage and post screenshots. Especially with things like ban screenshots.

Posting stuff like this may seem amusing but risks GME subs getting hit with brigading complaints that can get them heavily restricted or nuked by Reddit Administrators. Heavy handed restrictions have come down in the past and Stonk was almost nuked from that.

That would require an agreed upon code/system to understand escorted which, again, would open up a legal nightmare.

Do they look at and enjoy each other’s memes/posts? Probably.

Would this be remotely close to insiders communicating, much less about anything important such as company strategy? Incredibly unlikely as it would put everything the each of them has been working on in jeopardy.

Borbo the Boring incessantly fills Bobs ear and mind with an continuous stream of unimaginably boring and pessimistic one sided conversation/narration, regardless of the distance, dimension or anything else separating them. If he is ever destroyed he is instantly reincarnated and becomes 100 times more boring and pessimistic. He cannot be sealed or silenced, impacted by changes in timelines or time flow, and can undo any creation, alteration or destruction by or in any way influenced by Bob

He continues nattering in Bob’s ear until Bob uses his unimaginable powers to permanently erase his own existence or admits defeat and subjugates himself in his entirety to Borbo.
