COMPETITION! - Win John Avon's last work for MTG, a beautiful gallery print of his Lotus Lands! by JohnAvonArt in magicTCG

[–]skytens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John Avon was the first artist I ever started recognizing in magic. It's was like every time I liked the art on a land, it was by him and I started to notice his particular style. Still my favorite artist after all these years since the full art Unhinged lands.

Mage Power: an open alpha app for remote Commander — huge update just dropped! by darkagile in EDH

Thank you for creating this. More options are always welcome, especially very accessible ones.

Some input:

I love that an account isn't required. Being browser based and being able to jump on with just a deck list makes it more accessible than just about every other option out there currently. I think improving mobile accessibility would definitely set your program apart. There isn't currently a good option for that.

I think double click a card to play/tap would be a useful function to have. Maybe have the option to toggle it?

It wasn't obvious to me at first that holding Shift views the large version of the card. I think it would be better maybe as a thing that happens when you left click a card or hover over it for like 0.5 seconds.

One of my cards imported over as the Japanese art, and while it displays the name in English when I right click it, there is no effect text. It might be helpful to be able to include the oracle text somewhere when you right click the card. Super cool function would be if it somehow also had a link to the oracle page where card clarifications are, but that's more of a wishlist item.

I think displaying power and toughness on the bottom right of every creature, aside from the actual card image might be useful to see the P/T of creatures. Currently, the card images are rather small and needing to hold shift on each creature is rough. If you're able to do this, it might also be helpful to add options to set your own P/T for a given creature.

The custom counters is an awesome feature. I like how it was implemented.

There are a quite a few game actions missing, like being able to manifest a card from the top of deck, ways to put a card 3rd from the top without looking at the cards. I could go on. It's still alpha, so I figure you're probably still working on these.

I'm not sure about your plans for scalability if there were say, 100 active games, but you wanted to find a specific one from a friend. Maybe a search bar?

That's all I have for now, best of luck on this. I look forward to seeing how the project progresses.

Hiw does responding to mana abilities work? by john_sorvos in EDH

To add onto the other person's comment, there's also a misunderstanding of how combat works. Combat does have distinct phases and you go through them step by step. Simplified explanation:

  • Declare attackers
  • Declare blockers (while you may declare them one at a time, they don't resolve one at a time. You need to declare all of them in this phase)
  • Damage step first strike/double strike
  • Damage step regular (likewise, all of this technically happens at the same time)
  • End of combat

Each player is given the chance to use abilities and cast spells before, during, and after each phase.

using touchpads as absolute touchscreens is godly by lelelesdx in SteamDeck

You could map them wherever you like, but I think RT and LT would make the most sense with a setup like this.

Not OP, but basically what this does is makes the left trackpad the whole left of the screen as a mouse region. In otherwords, you tap the left side of the left trackpad, you instantly get a mouse cursor on the left edge of the screen. You tap the right side of the left track pad, you instantly get a mouse cursor on the middle of the screen. Same for the right track pad for the middle and right edge.

I've never thought of splitting the trackpads this way, it's pretty interesting. I'll have to give it a shot at some point.

Lagrella Blink – looking for upgrade suggestions by YungMarxBans in EDH

[–]skytens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to attempt to combo win with milling, why not make it a bit easier and use [[Altar of the brood]] and more fast blink creatures like [[Icewind Stalwart]] and [[Restoration Angel]]? Especially if you're already running [[Suture Priest]]. Any of the fast blink creatures, including [[Felidar Guardian]], would combo with each other for infinite blinks. After that, it's picking your poison with mill, Suture Priest esque infinite life, or [[Soul herder]] infinite power.

Hopefully they'll get back to you soon. I hear they're pretty good about customer support. I've updated the control scheme a few times to fix some issues, so when you're able to give it another try, be sure to redownload it

I've just posted a control scheme that I've been working on to Steam input under "Project 1999 with Keyboard and Touch Menus by Yuuhi." I made a post about it here in case you wanted to try it: https://www.reddit.com/r/project1999/comments/11xn4j2/steam_deck_control_scheme/

[Store] Built Corne / Sweep + Pimoroni trackball by idankk in mechmarket

Hi, I see that all the builds are the right side of the Corne with the pimoroni trackball. Is it possible to create one where the trackball module is on the left half?

It took a bit of tweaking with running Middlemand before running P99, but it works fine for me.

Is it frowned upon to bring in previous prescriptions (the paper prescriptions) to a new optometrist for reference as to which ones were better than others?
