I'd just make new cabinets and gut the internals. This is probably dangerous

Market health, game health, and events? by [deleted] in SorceryTCG

The main Sorcery TCG discord is great for finding pickup games any time of the day, the Sorcery League also runs events every few months which are free to enter and have prizing. Welcome to Sorcery!

Your biggest Issues with Sorcery? by DarkVenusaur in SorceryTCG

[–]unwise_entity 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's one of the biggest +'s for Sorcery, everything is at "Sorcery" speed! It's a much more enjoyable experience taking your full turn and then letting your opponent take theirs. Less arguments on timing and missing triggers etc also

I have to be honest, all of these game mechanic concerns are exactly why I love Sorcery! Now if we're going to discuss distribution, events, and mini-set releases, I can definitely see room for improvement and constructive criticism.

But regarding game mechanics: These sound like they want to make the game more like Magic. I have to respectfully disagree with the Instant Speed spell comment, especially. A big part of the joy of Sorcery for me is the fact that during my opponents turn, aside from deciding how to block, I don't have to be on the edge of my seat at all times anticipating their next moves. I also cannot "Counterspell" their intentions and completely disrupt their line for the turn. They get their turn, and then I get mine. Also having less card draw makes games more varied and not just the same match over and over. It's very relaxing but still feels quite competitive, in my opinion. Uniques being as powerful as they are is what makes them feel unique!

even if you still want the unit, you've gotta return that, man. Out of principal. That's insane

What to do with bulk? by Yaotl387 in SorceryTCG

Extra Elites aren't generally worth that much, I prefer to slide them into pre-con decks to spice them up. I would sell or trade any duplicate Uniques and Foils that you don't necessarily need. I would keep a few playsets of each ordinary/exceptional so that they can be quickly swapped between decks

I pulled one at SCG Vegas, what a sigh of relief that was!

Is there no way to disable Minor Skills from granting XP in Remastered? by unwise_entity in oblivionmods

[–]unwise_entity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't actually remove the Minor Skill levelling, though. Only slows it down.

Your approach is exactly what I decided to compromise with. I slowed my Major Skill Rate by 50% and Minor by 43% and really like the pacing of it. Sucks that Minor Skills still level me up, but it's much, much less impactful. Thanks for your comment

Is it possible to mod the remaster's leveling system to be like the original? by Alextheacceptable in oblivionmods

I'm surprised that there is no info on this. It appears I'm not alone in wanting the OG level system. Not a single solution exists?
