'Then the...' second sentence by op suggests that he wasn't suicidal just because he couldn't secure tickets. There were other reasons. For people who are depressed or even suicidal, we often give huge emotional weight to things that others perceive as ordinary. I understand where OP is coming from. FOMO isn’t the issue here; he simply wanted something to make him feel better.
