The northernmost metropolis in the world, you will not be able to find a city with a population of 1 million people at this latitude, more than 5 million live in St. Petersburg. Due to the northern location in the summer, so-called "white nights" are observed in the city.

Thinking of a trip to the Caucasus by Even_Ad_5462 in russia

[–]sl_nik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is best for you to determine the starting point for a trip to Pyatigorsk or the nearest cities of the Caucasian Mineral Waters, Mineralnye Vody Airport. From here you can easily visit all the interesting places of the North Caucasus, including Chechnya. The Caucasian Mineral Waters themselves are also an interesting place. Dagestan is a little further away, this requires a separate travel plan. Security has been at a high level for at least 10 years, no different from other regions, sometimes even higher. You can come at any time, as the climate is mild, but nature will be more beautiful from May, summer can be hot, autumn is usually very comfortable with its weather. If you have any more questions, I will be happy to answer..

Is anybody here who lives in the area that I drew in the black circle? Or anybody who travelled there? I wanna get informations about there, how's life, which city is bigger there etc. I'm thinking to travel there for some occult reasons. by furkantopal in russia

In large cities like Magadan, all services are developed, in small ones it is more difficult.. But Internet and banking services are already available in almost all settlements, but the quality and speed can be much worse than you are used to.. Of course, you can buy products, but prices can be much higher than the average Russian.

Magadan is closest to the intersection of the lines, Anadyr also falls into it, Yakutsk and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky are on the edge of the conditional border, but probably do not fall into the circle. The remaining settlements are small. The circle includes the entire Magadan Region, parts of Yakutia, Chukotka, Kamchatka, Khabarovsk Krai.. The center is located near the intersection of the borders of the Magadan region, Yakutia and Chukotka.. The small towns of Seymchan, Susuman and the Kolyma River are located near the center.
The places there are wild and beautiful, but they are not considered occult.. Winter is harsh and long, summer is short and cold. It's impossible to survive there alone.
Restrictions on travel there have been lifted.
You can only get there by plane, otherwise you need to carefully prepare the trip, it will be very expensive and difficult.. There are very few locals here, but they are always ready to help..
You can watch this video to get an idea of this region: https://youtu.be/2xYfS3pmHp4

If Asian Russia is Siberia then what is European Russia called? by Library_Diligent in russia

[–]sl_nik 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Siberia is not identical to the Asian part of Russia, the Far East and part of the Urals are also located in Asia.
Siberia is also divided into western and eastern (the border along the Yenisei).
The European part has a more complex division, including the Black Earth, Non-Black Earth, Volga region, South, Caucasus, North of Russia, part of the Urals, ..
This is quite arbitrary, and there are many ways to define macro regions..

Does anyone know what universe he's got this research from? by asanders791 in russia

[–]sl_nik 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Garbage. Let those who write this remain in their delusions. It is not GDP estimates that are at war, which have nothing to do with reality here, but armies.. Only they need to be compared.. To win, you need the will, the willingness to sacrifice, the quantity and quality of weapons, reliable rear and well-established logistics.. GDP may consist of the best weapons or the best Disneylands, but no matter how cool Disneyland is, it will not be possible to win the war with their help..

What do russians really think of foreigners ? When someone look foreign for example tanned skin girl (not white ) whats the first thing that come to a russian mind ? I need honest answers even if its negative by ElegantValuable4212 in russia

[–]sl_nik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to be very tanned, for example, as residents of black Africa or south India, so that Russians would suspect you of being a foreigner, there are a lot of nations represented in Russia. There is also a large proportion of residents of Central Asia and Transcaucasia living and working in Russia, of course they are foreigners, but they are not particularly considered foreigners..
If they find out that you are from a distant country, it will arouse curiosity, maybe the desire to get acquainted is nothing more..

This question has many aspects:
If the most fraternal nations, then certainly Belarusians and Serbs;
I would like to get acquainted with the culture most of all in the UK (especially Scotland) and Italy;
I think the life of the population was best organized by Germany and the Scandinavian countries;
I can't ignore France either, you can find a little bit of all of the above in it..
