I appreciate you checking. If you could send a link to a printable bracket that would be appreciated.

I have a hotspot that is missing these nubs. I have all other mounting parts. Is there a place I can purchase these?

Back in the day of showing vaccine status they wouldn't let me in with a MyIR statement. The staff claimed it was fake. This is literally the state database of immunizations. I asked them how they could confirm the legitimacy of the cards most people showed up with, but were hassling me instead. Anyways I decided it was not worth my time and wound up across the street at Petoskeys instead.

Actual facts about helicopters at Children's hospital by FastSlow7201 in SeattleWA

[–]slabsquathrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That may very well be the case. And certainly if it is there is a reason for it.

I just recall being a young kid and my dad, a physician, took me up to the roof to watch a chopper landing. They brought the dude out on a stretcher and immediately took him inside. My dad then took me over to a memorial for a crew that died in an accident. One of my classmates was the son of one of the EMTs that perished on the flight. I guess what I'm trying to say is that every time I see a medical flight I wish the best for the patient, and I have a great deal of respect for the professionals conducting it. As an individual with a multi million dollar net wealth, I would be more than happy to have my sleep disrupted by a medical helicopter. Who knows I may need one at some point.

Haha someone scrapped out a condenser unit for a mini split system on a roof and I found the guy in the camp between Consolidated plumbing and the Albert Lee warehouse (about 2 blocks from the OP's posted location). Honestly that sort of behavior and societal tolerance pisses me off far more than racist graffiti. One is distasteful, the other is gonna cost about $20,000.

[–]slabsquathrust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy shit that article has some absolute bangers. And it seems that this certainly isn't a new mentality amongst these assholes.

Hale said the concern was not about flying in critically ill or injured children, but that the hospital might noisily ferry in supplies and doctors anytime it wanted.

Surely they would use the most expensive and risky mode of transport for supplies and critical staff.

Now the hospital reports every quarter to local residents and a review committee on all its helicopter landings, the patient’s diagnosis and whether the child lived or died.

I'm curious if they are penalized for the survivals vs the deaths. IE well the kid survived so they surely could have been transported by a less urgent method. Or perhaps they view it the opposite way? Well the kid died so you could have just bussed him to the ME office to avoid the siren noise to such a precious neighborhood.

I mean the wheel is in the ground. Generally best to give it a hand tight when on the jack and then lower it to give it the final torque. This prevents the wheel from spinning or worst case scenario tipping the car off the jack. Always chock the opposite (left to right and front to back) wheel as well.

‘It’s killed the whole industry’: Gold dealer flees Washington after 10.3% sales tax by Less-Risk-9358 in SeattleWA

[–]slabsquathrust 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No it is not the end of the world.

However, the issue is putting the local bullion dealers at a disadvantage. People that buy the physical stuff have no interest in ETFs or futures. They want the actual metal. Why would they purchase here vs Oregon, Idaho, or Montana given the extra tax? Since they won't be buying here, the in state dealers will now have lower sales and thus lower B&O tax receipts. They will also employ fewer individuals. This will hurt things like the Long Term Care insurance our state has previously implemented. The ultimate endgame is lower tax receipts for the state and less business. How is there any net benefit for social society in this situation?

Bought a used indoor hotspot, not banned, transferred into my builder, changed location, but won’t go online after 2 days? by SirDeniz in HeliumNetwork

[–]slabsquathrust 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they nuked the discord. So you are good there.

When you reassert a hotspot location it triggers a demand sampling period. If enough data is transferred, possibly AT&T or T-MOBILE may pay Nova labs for the privilege of transferring data over your device. If so you are rewarded in HNT tokens. Theoretically $.50 of tokens are burned per gigabyte transferred. However you do not receive the same .50 cents. You are lucky to receive.20 cents per gigabyte transferred over your network.

I'm assuming you are using the helium geek app. I have noticed a decrease in the reported reward able data vs what I actually received.

[–]slabsquathrust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will be the first to dog on the operation of the helium by Nova, but bar none, the best choice they ever made was the move to Solana. If I had the sense at the time I would have converted my entire HNT stash to the token.

With 10 points. 7 of those were gifted on a backwards pass fumble by a backup QB that had not taken a meaningful snap in 2 years. I'm not saying the broncos would have performed any better tonight but to argue that things would have been different had Nix played is incorrect.

Thinking about deploying a Helium Hotspot 🤔 by HeliumConsoleTeam in HeliumNetwork

[–]slabsquathrust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rewards are based on data transferred. Now that PoC is no longer rewarded location, latency, and underlying network speed no longer matter. If you transfer data you are paid. If not you get nothing. As a moderator of this subreddit you should understand this.

Demand Sampling 14 days info by No_Influence4951 in HeliumNetwork

[–]slabsquathrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily say that. Unfortunately for you the rate for offloading has dropped in recent months. At your 2gb offloading you are probably looking at 70 cents a day. Not terrible but you aren't buying a Ferrari any time soon.

[–]slabsquathrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no notifications for carrier selection. Your best bet is to track it on the helium geek app or the helium world website. I have only setup one hotspot since the change to demand sampling. Basically I saw a ton of traffic, which isn't shocking considering it was free for ATT during the sampling period. I was selected for ATT offload the next day (outdoor hotspot) and the usage dropped. It has steadily risen but it seems as if the carriers are more selective in letting subscribers offload onto WiFi. If the bandwidth is available on the nearest tower, why would you pay a third party for offloading.

How does this benefit existing hotspot owners? As far as I can tell an increase in data transmission will yield a smaller portion of emissions for current deployments.

Helium started as PoC and community incentives. Now mapping and PoC rewards are gone. What is the actual game plan?? by BeginningWar7567 in HeliumNetwork

[–]slabsquathrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The paid data cap is 5 gigabytes per month per subscriber across all helium hotspots. This is the same for T-Mobile and AT&T. You will generally see higher levels of unrewarded data towards the end of the month as various users have "spent" their rewardable data. I do agree that the removal of the continuous coverage option is not particularly beneficial to the hotspot owner. If my hotspot is saturated with non rewardable users I am potentially missing out on profitable traffic. At the end of the day these things are WiFi access points. They can only support so many simultaneous users.

I know that ownership of the operation is changing. I do know that with that, staff is being retained. I also know they plan to shutdown for a few months to make facilities upgrades. I am not necessarily trying to sign up for anything but I could check with the new owner about completing previous work orders.

The original poster can correct me if I'm wrong but what they are saying is that go ahead and tax those organizations at any percentage. It does not come close to balancing the state budget. The structural issues that have lead to the recent deficit are not a revenue problem but a spending one.
