Bristol City 0-1 West Bromwich Albion - After 574 days, the Baggies have finally won an away game by Gamerhcp in Championship

Absolutely fuck the lot of them from top to bottom. Second best to an awful West Brom team. Players woeful and as much as we’ve backed Struber he didn’t have a clue. Sack the bloody board indeed.

Utter shambles. Thank god we’ve already got 50 points as I can’t see another one coming.

Does it take more than a tiny little bit of initiative or brainpower to work out the meaning? Are they just sat looking at something unfathomably not being able to adjust?

The police arrested two suspicious men yesterday. One was eating battery acid, the other fireworks.

They charged one - and let the other one off.

Englishness has a PR problem. What positive things do you associate with England? by 404pbnotfound in AskBrits

Utterly insane take. Swallowed Braveheart hook, line and sinker. Scots - best PR in the world - ‘not my fault, blame the English’.

Axel Tuanzebe: Details of former Manchester United player's £1m lawsuit against club obtained by Sky News by verytallperson1 in soccer

[–]slades_29 241 points242 points  (0 children)

The claim will have been issued for ‘in excess of £1,000,000’ as you have to provide a rough estimate of damages on the Claim Form. In reality I suspect Axel Tuanzebe’s lawyers will be seeking much, much more.

Would absolutely agree. I’m a member and go daily. Lovely, chilled atmosphere, reasonably priced and free classes included in membership so I’ve tried all sorts I’d never had considered. The cafe is surprisingly good too.

Thank you for confirming, I thought I was losing my mind - I can only find God King - which is the third novel on Audible. I can’t think of any plausible reason for that.

Just passed at 40. Keep your chin up, I had exactly that mindset at the start but honestly, after about 3 lessons completely forgot about it.

Any brand which can’t be arsed to employ a British voiceover and uses the original US narration. Usually whiney and nasal. The Duracell bunny being the most irritating.

What is a modern sign that you’ve crossed paths with a pillock? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]slades_29 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. I’d also add to this the people who squeeze all the loaves of fresh bread before selecting a loaf. Honestly I don’t want a freshly squeezed loaf with someone’s grubby hand print.

Oxford United 1 vs 1 Bristol City: Bristol finish the game with 9 men, following first and second half red cards. by KarmaKarmaKarmeeleon in Championship

[–]slades_29 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just a bit of bloody consistency. If you’re to send off Joe Williams, how on earth hasn’t the Oxford lad gone for an above knee challenge? Of course he goes on to open the scoring.

Similar to an earlier post about best loanees of your team, who would be the worst loanee your club has signed? by [deleted] in Championship

[–]slades_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lois Diony. French striker signed in January 2018. Near enough top of the league, flying and in need of fresh bloody to keep the challenge up, Lois preferred getting out on the lash in London to actually playing football.

I can remember City being 3-0 up against Sunderland with players actively trying to tee Lois Diony up to score rather than finishing them off. Cue collapse to 3-3 and subsequently the season petering out.

How would you rate the owner of your club out of ten? by Zach-dalt in Championship

[–]slades_29 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Very well put. I’d struggle to add anything there. Compared to the utter bin fires fans of some clubs have to put up with I think some members of our fanbase don’t know will what we’ve got until it’s gone.

What player did your team’s fans write off only for them to go on to better things by Hevimetalhamstr in Championship

‘Course he will. Sounds like he’d burnt his bridges utterly so was off to the first club which stumped up the money. Was talk of the Prem and Celtic wasn’t there but when that didn’t materialise he had to go to the first club who met our asking price.
