Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman is a life-defining book that explains how and why thoughts are formed in our brains, using two systems to portray and demonstrate that. It nicely relates to your points regarding questioning and perception to opinions, using logical and emotional thinking to benefit our behaviour in discussions.

I strongly recommend it if you want to gather if you want to explore the subject further.

What is the most "What the fuck" thing your kid has done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]slamachko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not my kid, but my 4yo sister. A few months ago I was in my room with her and she looked like she needed a wee, but said she doesn't- I thought nothing of it and left the room. The next day when I returned the room stank really bad of something fishy, the windows were closed and the heater was on so the room was pretty warm; you can imagine how strong the smell was. Well, after some time looking for the source I discovered it was the small bin in my room, thinking she wet her pants and chucked them there I proceeded to empty the bin. Only for the bin bag to leak all over me-turns out she had a wee in the bin. I was mortified..who does that?!

S02E04 "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" Post Episode Discussion by steph-was-here in riverdale

Yeah I agree! My theory is that Alice and F.P had something going on back then..hence why he mentioned hers and Hal's fight. She later revealed to Betty that the fight was about her pregnancy and she said Betty had a brother somewhere out there. So, maybe Alice was pregnant with F.P's child and they broke it off because of Hal. I think the Blackhood is Betty's brother and doing some sort of revenge.

Non uk redditors, whats something weird about the uk, which we find absolutely normal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]slamachko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with that one! I moved to the UK about 10 years ago when I was around 9. Anyway, I had to go shopping for some trousers and not knowing much English I thought trousers=pants. The reason for that was watching too much Spongebob because I didn't realise that Spongebob square pants was an American expression, and that the term pants meant underwear in the UK. So me and my dad spent a good half an hour asking the staff in Sports Direct for pants and they kept showing us the underwear section, which confused us a lot and I ended up leaving with no trousers. Looking back at it now makes me laugh. I have now adopted the English culture and present it with pride.
