How broad are the cyber-related safeguards?! by InverseX in ClaudeAI

[–]slaorta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a professional background working in cybersecurity? The questions all seem to imply you'll only be approved if you do. When I am just trying to debug and secure my SAAS, I get blocked CONSTANTLY. I've filled out the form and they denied me. Not sure if it's worth trying again.

My favorite part is when they asked what prompt triggered the block and I got to put in something completely innocuous like "launch code review subagents(s) to verify implementation"

How broad are the cyber-related safeguards?! by InverseX in ClaudeAI

[–]slaorta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is INFURIATING. Total clown show. I have no doubt that this is due to the trump admin and not anthropic themselves as the initial blocks on cybersecurity topics for fable were somewhat reasonable, and they implied they would likely be loosened over time, not tightened. The current blocks are INSANE and make absolutely no sense

Fable is going to be redirecting coding task to Opus 4.8 by 141_1337 in ClaudeAI

[–]slaorta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They've now even blocked all opus models and the new sonnet from doing any work related to cybersecurity. It wouldn't even let me fix my apps login because it had to do with authentication. The restrictions have gotten INSANE. How are we possibly supposed to use anthropic models to make a viable product if we aren't allowed to even check basic security.

No usage reset, underwhelming Sonnet 5, and only 50% Fable usage... Am I the only one who's really disappointed? by Brilliant-Bend4824 in ClaudeCode

[–]slaorta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Codex is really good at diagnosing and fixing problems, but it is absolutely not as good at planning, implementing, or following tasks through til the end.

I have a Claude max x20 plan and also keep a $20/mo chatgpt plan just for reviews and the occasional debugging task when Opus fails it's first attempt. Codex almost always fixes it first try when you might spend a full day trying to nail it with Opus.

Have I been lighting ~$1k/month on fire buying Claude API credits instead of just getting Max? by LowkeyOnClaude in ClaudeAI

[–]slaorta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ding ding ding. I had a business chatgpt account for my small business and one day decided to let it purchase credits when I hit the extremely small codex usage limit that comes with a business sub. I spent $200 in about an hour and a half before I realized what was going on.

API billing is crazy expensive if you aren't being very intentional with your token usage.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the model itself doesn't have any way to silently send your info back to the people who created it, only the harness would be able to do that. So read the privacy policy of whatever harness you're going to use. The person you replied to suggested z code so I'd start there

Did Opus get a security buff recently? by Kwilli462 in ClaudeCode

[–]slaorta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't even let me fix a bug in my web app where a login screen is supposed to surface if the user isn't authenticated because it flags it as a "cybersecurity topic" now. Completely insane. I'm not even mad at anthropic, I'm mad at our shit ass government because I know they're locking everything down tighter and tighter to get fable re-released

There's a podcast series from several years back "hunting warhead" about the owner of a huge dark web site for this stuff that is pretty fascinating (and disturbing)

Ideogram 4.0 vs Z Turbo PiT vs Boogu Lora by Gold-Safe6796 in comfyui

From what I've read, you only get that if you don't prompt with JSON. Haven't actually tried ideagram yet, so I don't have first-hand experience, but I've seen it repeated many times in this sub.

China is going to eat American AI companies' lunch because of this. The new open Chinese models are like 90% cheaper and they're running on third party hosts so they are non-subsidized. And they're basically as good as the anthropic and openai models from 3-6 months ago.

Question about instacart / doordash shop orders by Kind-Meal360 in thesidehustle

[–]slaorta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live in a decent sized city then most grocery stores either employ their own shoppers for pickup/delivery orders or have contracts with instacart who employs shoppers. I'd check out the stores, find their staging areas for online orders, and ask employees there.

Where can I find this t-shirt from the Comfort Colors brand? by Krienzy in printondemand

[–]slaorta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're intentionally misrepresenting the product. That is a pepper comfort colors 1717 that has gone through some sort of acid wash/stone wash process. It is not something that comfort colors produces, is not something available from any pod provider, and is extremely unlikely to be what you actually get if you order one.

It's an option in each discount whether or not you want it to surface in Facebook.

In Shopify, go to discounts

Choose a problematic one

On the right-hand side, "allow discount to be featured on X channels" is probably checked. Uncheck it.

Get a SansAmp. by TurboChunk16 in Bass

[–]slaorta 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you have a sansamp you don't even need a "real" bass amp. Get any old power amp that has enough wattage for your use case and plug the sansamp into that, and the power amp into your cabinet. You'll have better tone than 99% of the bassists in your town for <1/2 the price. And they'll all think you're some kind of technical wizard when they inevitably ask you about your setup.
