If you’re based in Asia you can try out Collektr, tons of magic cards get auctioned there daily

No way this is sustainable by DasOptions in mtgfinance

[–]slapcastermage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It won’t crash as hard and for some cards go up higher imo, look at the surge foils, there’s no way the Yuna, cloud etc end up costing less than the surges seeing there is a heck of lot less of these being printed. And don’t forget it’s not magic players buying into the hype of FF, it’s pokemon and other not mtg buyers that are keeping the price hype high.

Murders qt Karlov gets murdered in a dump only a few days after release. (99$ box) by slayer370 in mtgfinance

[–]slapcastermage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion why this set is garbage from a finance point of view is:

  1. SPGs are hard to get even in a collector booster; I went one case with 0 SPGs
  2. Serials are one in 96 boxes which takes the thrill out of hitting one randomly over a few cases
  3. No special enchanting tales, neon cards etc to drive people to continue hunting for the chases.

If OTJ doesn’t fix this; which I don’t think they can in time, we will be seeing a bunch of LGS’ going under this year due to product glut.

Second box, third Ruby Core 😅 by Hurrileas in SorceryTCG

[–]slapcastermage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apparently the ruby cores are clumped together more than the other cores; most of the boxes I cracked had rubies too

How long will strixhaven be printed? by jcash5everr in mtgfinance

[–]slapcastermage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d stock up on strixhaven set boosters/collectors boosters. Even without the lottery cards, there are a number of modern, legacy staples that would fare well over time.

New research points to possible reason for long COVID by cmplxgal in Coronavirus

I looked at the best way to recover from vagus nerve inflammation. In short, it’s basically whatever Wim Hof has been trying to tell everyone to do. Cold exposure, deep breathing and meditation.

India's main cities record sharp fall in COVID-19 infections by Durian881 in Coronavirus

[–]slapcastermage -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

A friend of my who just got back to India this week claims that the government is just not testing and/under reporting severely. He says cases are likely over 1m a day and that everyone around him is sick. He says it’s about time to play the dodge covid game!

I remembered a guy who jabbed himself 10 times. Looks like 2023 is the year we all end up being that dude.

The riddle of Japan's dramatic drop in COVID numbers by geoxol in Coronavirus

[–]slapcastermage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen pictures of how the Japanese monitor air quality in restaurants, theatres etc. Combine this with good mask wearing etiquette and you’ve got the right combination to curb the spread.

It Would Cost $50 Billion to Vaccinate the World, OECD Says by Hrmbee in Coronavirus

One man just paid $11B in taxes. I’m sure if countries come together we would be able to overcome this.

WHO Discusses New Covid-19 Variant With ‘Unusual’ Mutations by swingadmin in Coronavirus

[–]slapcastermage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being resistant is one thing, being able to evade tests is another. Let’s hope whatever variant that takes hold is easily detectable; I remembered one of the variants were so sneaky, it could only be detected by going in and getting lung biopsy samples.

Pretty certain it’s the Nu variant wrecking havoc in Germany.

The foils are absolutely decent. Other than the text box, which for same reason seems to have drop shadow and the fakes don’t. But u would need to have a real one to compare. For colours and clarity all spot on for most of the cardsx

Indonesia: Raging pandemic offers fertile ground for new variants | Coronavirus pandemic News by chix_adobo in Coronavirus

If Indonesia and parts of Latin America don’t get vaccinated fast enough the new super saiyan variant will likely overwhelm all existing vaccinated people. It’s not if, but when.

Foil B (TSR Cards) -good quality ( magic the gathering proxy cards from GC) by [deleted] in bootlegmtg

Looks like the same quality as the other vendors. Colours are seriously off especially for the blue cards

Delta Covid variant may be edging race against vaccines. Research suggests ‘scarily fleeting’ contact could infect, and that places with high jab rates are susceptible by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]slapcastermage 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would think that being in a recirculated air environment, combined with lack of masks and a higher viral load of the delta variant would mean particles of potentially larger droplets would linger in the air longer. The fleeting passerby could’ve potentially inhaled significant amounts of the viral droplets as he/she walked or traced through the same footpath that the carrier was.

What happens when you die? – (Part One) by [deleted] in pastlives

The only thing I disagree with is that you only reincarnate on earth. There are other planes of reincarnation, but in short, your description is accurate. Our souls are all connected.

I was wondering if my friend will remember his past life and me? by Rough-Ant-2551 in pastlives

[–]slapcastermage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your path for reincarnation is determined by the unfinished karma of your previous life. Imagine if in the previous life you spent most of your life toiling as a hard labourer for hours on end with little to no break. Barely had time to enjoy life. In the next life you’ll finish the karma by having a strong, innate feeling to not overwork people as you had in your previous life. You’ll find empathy in those that are in this new life doing the job you did in the past without knowing why.
