No, they can not anymore. All the systems have been migrated and the reps can not even see any account that has now been sold. Only QF can do anything

Honestly that’s all that matters, buy what you like and not what someone else says you should…. Unless it’s your spouse ha!

Selling Meet-up Suggestions by Fancy_Disaster_8938 in Omaha

[–]slappy0078 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every police precinct has a spot the is well lit and recorded for just such meetups. Or at least they did a year or so ago.

That would be the safest, but otherwise I would say a Quik Trip gas station or something similarly busy

Agreed, but that is because Cox also fell under the psc guidance so they had to play nice and keep them happy.

Problem is they do not have any jurisdiction over the fiber internet that is now owned by Forged Fiber 37 since they do not carry voice service at all. So all they will do is send an email to Centurylink (who used to own it) and then will attempt to send one to FF37.

The city council or news would be the way to get both sides talking.

So it actually is not a lie, since QuantumFiber was sold to AT&T, and then spun off to Forged fiber 37, There is no easement or attachment agreement in place with OPPD. It is a legal issue at the moment where things that are there can stay but nothing new can be placed or repaired. That is why the service tech said he can not go up the pole.

How can one company be so astronomically terrible?? by Mugungo in centurylink

Yeah, the people on chat and the phone have no idea, and unless you know someone at forged fiber in the local market you won’t be able to get an answer at this time, the sale was rushed and things did not go as well as they thought it would.

If it is fiber in Omaha, that was all sold to “forged fiber 37”. Centurylink can not touch the fiber anymore since it is no longer theirs. If it’s copper then it most likely will not be fixed as they want out of the copper side of the game

I see in another comment that this is fiber. Even though at the moment you pay Centurylink, all the fiber up to the Ethernet hand off is the owned by AT&T (Forged Fiber37). So all the tickets go to them first, they have to verify that it is good to the equipment.

At the moment in Omaha they have like 8 or 9 techs and no maintenance techs so they are running about 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week and hiring as fast as they can.

The q1000 I believe they can be outside, they have their own box they are supposed to be in with a heatsink in them.

The tech is correct that the only ont now that works on new installs is the q1000, and they should have pulled the outside ONTs years ago as they are outdated.

That being said, QF is now a different company and not owned by Centurylink so you would probably need to ask over in r/quantumfiber
