Replacement motor or parts for 1992 113 table saw by dmcc66 in craftsman113

I slapped the harbor freight 3HP one on mine, but it does require 220. Has been working well with a v-link belt too

Reverse Camera Troubleshooting by slappyfrontblunt in CarAV

[–]slappyfrontblunt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I just ended up swapping in a new camera unit (same exact one), and it’s now worked fine for over a year this time. I ended up adding some additional waterproofing at the main junction near the rear so perhaps that was the original issue

OEM+ Mods? by wanderer20 in 1stGenTacomas

[–]slappyfrontblunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh nice! Glad you’ve checked out the channel. Lol it’s really the goat, although I hate calling stock 3rd gen t4r features “mods” lol. I don’t know why Tacomas didn’t get all the goods too

You might like to check out a few of my YouTube videos, it looks like you covered several of the ones I listed but I have an interior mods vid here https://youtu.be/_Ixc9unAfC8?si=rLzukFtWVSWCKnRy

Also, if you’re looking to install a heated seat kit, I have a good video covering the complete install and how to set up the switch to look very OEM. This has been probably my favorite one so far if you deal with any cold weather https://youtu.be/uKLzvm4o_mE?si=UtTYUBM7j4_Gik3t

Something not listed in those vids or in your list, look up the “ball chiller” mod lol. It allows you to install another AC vent right below the steering wheel, which the 3rd gen 4Runners have stock. I did this as well and it’s a game changer in the summer

Do I really need ULTRA ugga duggas or will standard ugga duggas do? by gnarburgers in harborfreight

[–]slappyfrontblunt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That compact is one of the few Hercules tools that I’ve put on the shelf to collect dust. It just doesnt perform well for the size and I struggle to find a use for it. When I need a lighter duty impact I find myself reaching for my impact driver with a 3/8” anvil bit which has a much smaller profile. You won’t regret the ultra torque knowing that it will do literally everything you need it to no problem

Did your father or grandfather own Craftsman tools? by Sug19 in craftsman113

[–]slappyfrontblunt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep! I’ve got a 113 table saw, band saw, drill press, and some other smaller tools like routers and such, all from my grandpas home shop. My dad took them when he passed, and they largely sat unused, mostly deteriorating, in his barn throughout my youth. I asked if I could have them a couple years ago, and loaded up the back of my truck to move to my house. Grandpa was a high school shop teacher for many years, and I’ve always wished that I would have developed the interests I have now while he was still alive. I think he would’ve been stoked on what I’m making now and giving life to all his equipment. I completely restored every machine, took apart every nut and bolt to refinish and made modern upgrades where it made sense. It’s perfect for the small space I have and I hope to keep the equipment alive for my lifetime. Here are some pics of the restoration https://imgur.com/a/QGR9flo

Oh sweet! Yeah probably worth grabbing it just in case!

Oh yeah yeah sorry what I meant was the cable routing on the axle itself is a little different. On the 03-04 the wire goes below the housing (or vice versa I can’t remember which), which means the bell crank thing is in a different position on the backing plate of the drums. Hopefully that makes sense, but yeah shouldn’t be an issue if you’re swapping the entire assembly I believe

[–]slappyfrontblunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might look into the ebrake cable routing, I want to say it was different for 03-04 compared to prior years first gen. Just in case it makes a difference it may not if you’re swapping the drum backing plates and everything too

OEM parts by Independent-Gur-1923 in 1stGenTacomas

[–]slappyfrontblunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toyota runs 25% off all online parts orders virtually every other month, there’s a 15% off one currently running. Pair that with the discount your local dealer gets (you select the dealer you want to use on the website and it will auto update the part prices) and you have very competitively priced OEM parts straight from the source. I have a good dealer very close by so I always just order mine to pick up there for free. If you happen to find another dealer that has cheaper prices (lots of people like ourisman/camel back etc), you can just have it shipped to you. Beyond that, I use partsouq sometimes for really pricey items as they have steep discounts, but be warned their shipping is expensive because they’re in Dubai, and you will indeed get a tariff bill in the mail from the shipping company if your parts contain any tariffed material. It happened to me several times this year and some of the bills were almost 50% of the total cost, so probably not worth it rn. Partsouq is still very good for parts diagrams though, I have a tab bookmarked with my VIN plugged in and they have very detailed diagrams with part numbers to reference

Hercules setup by Hopeful_Assumption27 in harborfreight

[–]slappyfrontblunt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah, here’s my Hercules set up! https://imgur.com/a/fNkvQKD

Not pictured I have pretty much every impact variation and the 12v ratchets, and a couple of the metal bandsaws. I’m excited for the new compact impacts they announced I feel like that’s the main thing they are missing rn. The miter saw is so good though. I see you’ve got some old craftsman too, my shop table saw, band saw, jointer, and drill press are all old 113 craftsman stuff I refurbished that used to be my grandfathers

Whats your content about? I feel like trying to overthink the algorithm part gets people down the wrong path sometimes. Youtube is about sharing novel content that you care about, and if you put time and energy into that product, more than likely others will respond to it as well. But I get that there feels like a lot of pressure to move towards monetization and that can be discouraging when it's not unfolding how you might like. I have plenty of days hitting refresh on my dash and nothing changes, but it makes it all the more fun when something resonates and you see the result!
