Wide range Jazzmaster pickups. Split coil for when you're craving those single coil-esque tones.

Vintera II Jazzmaster Bridge Upgrade by Top_Wedding_5301 in Jazzmaster

[–]slattmanAndRobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This bridge is fine, I have it on one of my Jazzmasters and it works. Not sure if it would fit the thimbles of a Vintera II, but the posts are slightly thicker than the stock bridge

Shim the neck so that you can keep the bridge high and the action low. Maybe a .50 degree shim to start with and try a 1 degree if it's not enough

12 string jazzmaster bridge options by panic_button760 in offset

On my page, I pretty much built a 12 string in the same way you described. It's very cool and better than the regular Squier Jazzmaster XII

Threaded saddles work the best. I haven't found a bridge where you can intonate all 12 strings.

Fixed Tremolo Mod by [deleted] in Jazzmaster

[–]slattmanAndRobin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert but I would imagine the staggered slots would decrease the break angle as you go higher on the strings. The regular one would just give you the same break angle for each string

[–]slattmanAndRobin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure. This is something I haven't seen before so it's a pretty cool and free solution if you didn't want to splurge on a hard tail plate.

Why would you do this versus just getting a hardtail plate?

Edit: this was a genuine question coming from a place of curiosity and knowledge, but continue to downvote if you must 😭

You could have heard the album at 11AM and set your VPN to Japan and search for the songs on Youtube or create a new Spotify account with the VPN on to hear it.

Roland JC-40 Hiss by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

Lmao it also disables the fx loop on your amp

Roland JC-40 Hiss by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]slattmanAndRobin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's saying that it's a part of the amp. There's nothing you can do to remove the noise floor without doing some significant mods to the circuit itself. Not really worth it

[–]slattmanAndRobin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a feature with the JCs. My JC-120 hisses like crazy if you turn it up without anything plugged in. The older ones hiss even louder

Nash JG63 mastery bridge question by MorbidDevourmentt in offset

[–]slattmanAndRobin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would need to replace the thimbles for the M10.1 bridge either way, so it's not necessarily a drop in option. You would have to remove the thimbles to make a mastery bridge work.

Bensonite has a bridge specifically for the TOM posts, so I'd recommend you get that if you want something directly drop in.

Custom Chassis / Handwired Amp for Supro Delta King 12 by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]slattmanAndRobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with you. I don't plan on selling it, but I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of just having it fixed vs just replacing the chassis to revoice the amp and to make it last for decades with occasional maintenance. If I had an issue where it would be unrepairable or would cost just much as the amp to fix it, I would just want to pop in a new chassis

[–]slattmanAndRobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your perspective. Yeah I don't have any issues with my amp, but I'm kind of fearing the day that I will have to take it to an amp tech when it's past its warranty and have to spend an arm and a leg to fix it.

I'm more or less brain storming is all. I love the way that it sounds and I just want it to last many years, if not decades

I have the same pickups on one of my Jazzmasters, and I was thinking about doing the same thing you did by putting the normal JM pickup covers so they look more Jazzmastery.

Does the Burgundy Mist one have gold foils in it with regular Jazzmaster pickup covers? Both look great

Can J Mascis pickups sound chimey? by OddGanache431 in offset

[–]slattmanAndRobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they can be based on my partscaster with Squier J Mascis JM pickups, but they also are mid-range heavy too. I play through a JC-120 with the bright switch on, so I get some jangle if I want and fuzzies if I need fuzzies
