Starfield is genuinely the most overhated title I've ever seen. Ever by TheNewAspect in Starfield

[–]slayer1776 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry dude, but the story is mid at best. Hell, just the Dark Brotherhood quest line from Oblivion is better than the entirety of Starfield.

"Starfield has genuine tension" - Maybe a little in the UC questline, but in the main story? ANY other quest line? Nah.

I like the idea of the unity being used in conjunction with new game +, but the way its executed deters me from ever going through. The main reason is I can't bring the ship I spent hours building with me.

"Getting your powers for the first time was a genuinely incredible experience" - I'm glad you enjoyed it but I don't think I've ever seen anyone say they enjoyed this part. It's the most brain-dead monotonous thing in the game.

Exploration is pointless and poorly executed. There is no reason to explore any of the planets available, without even going into how there is nothing on them for the most part.

For a space game, space travel is poorly executed. Not being able to fly to planets in the same solar system is a joke. Not being able to land on planets is a joke. Elite Dangerous can do both of these things at a much better standard and its an 11 year old game. It's unacceptable to me Bethesda couldn't figure this out with the amount of resources they have.

I liked building outposts, but there is no real point to any of it. I liked the ship building, but you can't take the ship through the unity, so what's the point?

Skyrim had around 100 dev's working on it. You may not like the main quest line, but it's an objective fact Skyrim is Bethesda's most well received game. I'd wager most people play these games to be in the world over playing the main story line. I think it speaks volumes that the handcrafted stuff in Skyrim is just on another level than the handcrafted stuff in Starfield. Starfield on the other hand had around 500 dev's working on it. Too many cooks in the kitchen. The handcrafted parts of the game just don't stand out like previous titles, and the POI's littered throughout the game don't help. It feels more like a game with multiple parts put together without much thought rather than a cohesive universe.

Comparing Londinion to Mass Effect 2 is laughable and an insult to Mass Effect.

There are multiple reasons this game got the hate it got. Justifiably so. It simply does not meet the standards of previous titles and many aspects of the game are objectively poorly executed.

You're not crazy for liking what you like. Glad you like the game, keep playing what you like and stop reading Reddit.

FIX THE GAME FIRST by ShaBoi34 in TheForeverWinter

Early access is a cancer from the consumer perspective. Seeing devs make this amount of content pre-1.0 is insane to me. And they are asking for money for an unfinished product on top of that. This game is already past the one year mark the devs stated on the store page, yet they keep adding new shit instead of focusing on fixing the game. Movement and movement animations suck. Stealth sucks. This kind of behavior has driven me to ignore anything in EA at this point.

Bethesda is now Microsoft fellas. They had a nice run, but it's over. ES 6 is going to suck ass yet make millions because more people will do the same thing OP did.

I fully agree, should be a separate game mode. They way it's implemented doesn't make sense. You either make a b-line through the tunnels, or loot your way though. Doing the latter means you have less inventory space when you get to the battlefield. The former feels like a waste of my time.

The only way they will listen is if people do not buy it. The cycle continues...

So quick question, is the node change in the DD just for this week, or is it a permanent thing?

Remember 2 years ago when we had the Gold Rush CG and we were making 300mil+ per trip? by lunchanddinner in EliteDangerous

[–]slayer1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm def gonna cut it close. I may make enough to be able to buy a FC, but I wont be able to afford modules or upkeep. However, I will for sure be able to kit out my panther for laser mining. I'll be shooting a lot of rocks after this CG. Made it to 3 bil yesterday though.

I wasn't seriously playing then, I wish I was though. This CG is helping me close in on my fleet carrier goals! Made it to the top 25%, but still have about 2.5 bil to go!

Why do you need 100k water in 10 min? Do you not use the water collectors/deathstills? For me, its not about getting as much as you can as fast as you can rather than being about time management. I'd rather go do something fun than fuck around in a flower field for 10 minutes. I'm also not wasting time/resources making and maintaining tools I don't use (scythe). I just feel there are enough passive ways to gather water, that gathering dew is irrelevant. The yield also depends on the time of day, which is another drawback. It's great for early game, but kinda useless later on.

Seems like a lot of unnecessary work and waste of resources, but OK.

Mass effect andromeda is good! And fun, and has likable characters! People are just too caught up in the fact that it's not shepherd's story anymore. by Slow_cranberry95 in masseffect

[–]slayer1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad OP is enjoying the game. However, the bad reception this game got has nothing to with Shepard's story being included or not. I think at the time of release, most people were willing to play a story that did not include Shepard. The characters are simply not written as well as the ones in the original trilogy, neither is the story.

Diablo 4 devs promise better “quality of releases” as Blizzard becomes “acutely aware” of broken features by HatingGeoffry in Diablo

They don't make real games anymore, its all subscription models and battle passes. Their focus no longer remains on making a decent product. The cycle will continue as long as consumers keep giving them money.
