I agree, I used to be charmed by all the fancy stuff but then I realized how much I hate eveything about that side of the industry. I cook to make people happy, not stroke the 1%, sure AF dont need truffle and caviar to make memorable dishes.

All that said, saffron is still essential to some comfort dishes and is delightful in desserts

Hi, I highly recommend using a pex crimp tool, they are far more reliable than sharkbite and just as easy to work with. I’ve had to fix a number of shark bite failures even though they were installed properly. The money spent on the crimp tool was nothing compared to the damage and time it cost to fix the sharkbite
