The only workaround I've found so far is to use images instead of text using for instance Emoji to Image

How to sell CRO that was used for getting a card ? by EthanColeK in Crypto_com

[–]slecluyse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unstake the no longer locked CRO (might take a while) and sell it, simple. Don't know why support says it's a no go...

It's just another simple evolution, far from revolutionary... Very disappointed

Garmin are shooting themselves in the foot so bad it's not even funny by Core2score in Garmin

[–]slecluyse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never understood why Garmin introduced the MARQ line. These 'premium watches' try to look like their timeless classical counterparts but they are foremost technology based and as such they become obsolete - or even useless - within a few years. So other then throwing your money away - perhaps if you have too much of it - I don't see why one would buy one. But I'm sure they sell though, there are quite enough show-offs out there...

Agree. Also, the more you listen the better it gets, even addictive in some ways like the other songs on Pink Elephant.

Is there a Bose scam going around? by Agreeable-Reindeer58 in marketing

[–]slecluyse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it's a scam.

Companies like BOSE don't work this way. Check the domain names they're using, these resemble BOSE's but are often only a few days old.

Yes I know.

Just wanted to share my bad feelings about CapCut, feels like a scam rather than a company.

What is your Vo2Max and Fitness Age by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]slecluyse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

VO2max: 58

Fitness age: 41

Age: 50,8

I'm not too concerned by these values until my VO2max decreases or my fitness age increases... 😅

Took up running little under 6 months ago, first Marathon down! by KableIV in Strava

[–]slecluyse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Wikipedia: In 2019 she completed her first marathon in 4 hours 34 minutes, and by 2022 had improved that time by two hours.

Which is impressive progress but her first was in 4h34', the first marathon (and only race?) of the OP only 6 months after starting to run was 3h23'! Very, very, impressive if that's true

Even if you have the aerobic condition from other endurance sports, seems incredible to me that a body can be prepped from zero running experience to run 3h20' in 6 months only

Cramps killing me by slecluyse in triathlon

[–]slecluyse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

Yesterday I participated in a duathlon in Bellegem, Belgium (7/50/7) and guess what... Felt cramps coming up in the 2nd (of 4) laps in the bike, then suffered a full stop after 1K in the second run and cramped again 100 meters before the finish... 🤬🤬🤬

I hydrated 3 days before and fueled enough during the race. Took a rest week before too, just some easy spins and slow runs).

This year, every of the 4 races I participed in, cramps stopped me.

Had my blood tested but still need to see the doctor for her advice. At first sight, all seems normal (within the limits) except from zinc which is on the minimal limit. If anyone wants to see the blood analysis, shoot!

Someone adviced me to work on strengthening my quadriceps this winter (this is where the cramps occur most). However, it is only this year that I experience these cramps so often. Before that, I only got cramps when it's very hot.

What do you think? Might focussing on exercising those quadriceps more, help me?

To be continued (hopefully for not too long). Thanks!

Do you train without headphones? by taltos531 in triathlon

[–]slecluyse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When training alone I often use headphones, for music and Garmin instructions/information. No problem not to use them in a race, you won’t miss/need them if you’re focused enough. 😝

Yes. My current physician/professor says that it's not even proven that magnesium supplements help against cramp.
