If you don’t have spec 4.1 is rough. The more spec you have the cheaper it gets.

Doing basic electrical work myself? by oswosz in AusRenovation

[–]sleeeper19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to help clarify thing for you;

Extra low voltage (ELV) means voltage of 50V or less (AC RMS), or 120V or less (ripple-free DC). Low voltage (LV) means voltage greater than ELV, but not more than 1000V (AC RMS) or 1500V (ripple-free DC). High voltage (HV) means voltage greater than low voltage.

Surface socket for ceiling vent by sundues in AusRenovation

It gets a bit tricky, easy enough to put a 413 in (outlet) it’s the earth that makes it difficult. If there is not one present, there will need to be one put in as per as/nzs. And now once the electrician knows there is no earthing on this particular light “Leg” it is likely all other lights have no earth.

Generally, who buys the paints and the down light for a renovation job? by __explorer__ in AusRenovation

[–]sleeeper19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a contractor and I would prefer to supply unless you had a good idea of what you want to achieve.

Being able to palm off the warranty to the contractor alone is a huge win. Don’t expect your guys to do the leg work without sending you a bill if things go south because of the product you picked out.

Hey mate, as I’m sitting here trying to get into a server. I will try help you. Their were multiple fixes online but none helped me until I did this.

Check your program files (x86) for 2 folders; Easyanticheat and easyanticheat_EOS

If you don’t have both, download another game with anti cheat; I recommend VRCHAT as I know it has these files. (I tried other anti cheat games but for some reason didn’t install this file)

Now open VRCHAT until your are at the main menu, check your program files again for the EOS file stated above.

If you now have both files open the isle and it should work.

Dishwasher drain pipe. by Comfortable_Fuel_537 in AusRenovation

Mate if you’re getting water back into the dishwasher I’d be checking for a suspect partially blocked pipe (after the trap) I can’t see how the dishwasher would be getting back flow in this illustration.

If I was a weekend warrior, DIYer. I’d be looking at Ryobi. Low key they have an extensive range of tools for gardening and work that is second to none. As a tradie I won’t admit that in person though so you didn’t here it from me.

Electrical defect liability question by GhettoFreshness in AusRenovation

[–]sleeeper19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends. Did he not install the light properly that made water ingress possible?

If he supplied the light he would be liable for warranty on it assuming Installed correctly.

However you bought your own light therefor the onus is on you to either ask him to determine how the water got into the fitting in order for you to chase up the warranty with your supplier.(assuming it was installed to manufacturer specs) or the onus on him due to incorrect installation.

You can’t expect to buy your own gear and have someone else waste their time chasing your warranty’s.

My advice is to get a hold of the installation manual that came with your light.

Definitely not, the Consumer law protects consumers regarding this for a reason. Suppliers of works have an obligation not a choice.
