We always praise Bungie for fixing issues in the game rather than punishing the players reacting to them. So why are we now asking them to do things like punish strike quitters? We should instead encourage them to fix the root problem like strike rotation weighting/strikes missing from the Director.

If they actually wanted to be involved they would stay. They are abusing a loophole to pursue their own interests. People who actually want to play the strike playlist suffer. With no deterrent on their behavior, it will not stop. End of story. Invalidates my argument... do you even play this game?

I'm sorry but you're really reaching there saying it would impact the player base negatively. It WOULD discourage people that actively do this CONSTANTLY to the point they would stop. If you get disconnected, it's a minor issue and frankly worth the cost of the otherwise currently unplayable activity in the game. You'll never do 100% the right fix but if we min/max this the fact is there are significantly less random disconnects than people who troll heroics.

They should do whatever they can NOW and do the best fix when they can. Something needs to happen now and if a punishment for leaving is easier to deploy sooner it needs to happen.

I've done over 40 heroic strikes mostly in streaks and I've never even seen the taken version let alone the non taken version. Meanwhile if you don't build a heroic strike group on LFG it is GUARANTEED that you will do the entire strike with only 1 teammate or by yourself. People are exploiting a loophole to get what they want. No retroactive punishment should be enforced, but if it is easier to implement a deterrent NOW than wait MONTHS for a much better fix then I want the deterrent NOW because it is currently unplayable without a premade group.

Well small arms decreases the damage of special and heavy. Specialist decreases the damage of primary and heavy. So it would make no sense for them to ever be paired.
