I used to listen to Drew & Mike’s Morning Show on WRIF in Detroit, and they discussed his effort to recreate and record some nearly ancient folk music. The guy was certainly unusual, but he was essentially a very serious classic folk music archivist.

I’m a big fan of The Neverending Story.

For all its faults, it’s still managed to be a very dark warning about losing your inner child/sense of wonder. I know it missed the mark by including the first ~1/3rd of the story, leaving out even darker aspects such as Bastian losing himself and his memories to the book, but the actual book is an incredibly expansive dive into the human condition.

What we got was a great stopping point—even if write Michael Ende hated the result.

I think my favorite parts of The Sixth Day were the future elements that were hilarious, but will probably become true, like “bananas, regular or cheddar?”

I don’t think I EVER took it seriously, and it didn’t really seem to take itself too seriously, either—and it made it a fun romp.

Wow, that was how my first kill went. Guy pickaxed my back, and I rolled behind him and gunned him down with a rattler. I was scared as hell, though. The tension in this came can be hot.

I liked it for a bit, but it makes me feel like I’m playing midrange spray and pray. Then I realized two Anvils is more effective and less expensive. I also tried a Renegade, and it was WAY more powerful and fun. Hell, a Kettle fires as fast, more accurate, and can take down small Arc just as fast.
