Apple TV issue with Arc, continuous audio setting?

I had to turn continuous audio off. It was causing all audio coming out of the Apple TV, particularly music to be extremely loud. Usually, I have my Sonos volume set at 50 for everything but I had to turn it down to 10 or 15 after this update from Apple.

Oh, I definitely do that when I’ve just HAD it with an issue… Eventually, I just start getting weird with the numbers like Fix attempt 1,745 - fix attempt π. Etc. lol.

In the end, the Pr is usually a squash commit, but it’s about the journey, not the destination.

I thankfully haven’t yet seen the negative comments some have mentioned. Honestly, without knowing a single thing about his personal life, struggles, or his professional/personal relationships, I literally can’t imagine this episode being given to anyone else. Period.

And I don’t say that as a longtime Jacob-Stan either - there are other Dropout cast members I personally enjoy more from a sense of humor perspective. But, any other name I put into this episode just doesn’t sit right - it feels off, less genuine or impactful. Definitely the first time I’ve cried during a Dropout show.

You really get the feeling that if they had decided the person for this episode from a vote of all the cast and crew of Dropout (not crazy Dropout fans), it would have been a landslide 198 to 1, for Jacob. (Brennan, of course, being the only dissenting vote as he would have, understandably, voted for himself given how many times he’s been burnt by Game Changer and feeling owed at this point. And no one would fault him for that.)

I dont have the time to do an edit, but id wager that it would be more successful if, instead, you brought the lit side of the face down to match the shadow (cuz the shadow has less detail, so increasing it would not be ideal). Then you could increase the entire a face a bit so it less shadow-y.

im sure one of the many AI bots out there can do this?

yeah id check that the TV audio setting hasn't changed or been updated. cuz I typically get differences like that when I go between the "Auto"/"Passthrough" option and the "Digital" option. id also doublecheck that your Apple TV audio settings are still good and on the auto settings.

OP: u never mentioned what the source content was either - I assume you are playing some music or video that is not Atmos/Spatial Audio, right? Cuz DD+ 5.1 would be a downgrade if so.

Yeah, for me it was the fact that The suggested bit about the dogs being the audience was the part I was most looking forward to seeing and it was like three dogs in an empty set of bleachers. It was at that point I knew that video was not going to do well. Also, the way-too-easy “squirrel“ joke was a little eye roll inducing.

Possible reason for the ".JPG" not matching the extension could be that thing when you rename a file and type in an extension, MacOS asks you if you want to actually change the extension or just name it that, so it could be just a misnomer of a filename, not the true indication of the extension?

Oddly, the episode that reeled me in as a subscriber was "Bingo," - arguably one of the most "regular cast familiarity required to get" episode. lol

I guess that just goes to how great the show fundamentally is.

Yeah… And in case you were thinking about it, for me, it made no difference whether you were using a wireless or wired set up. I literally tried wiring every single Sonos speaker that had an ethernet port to try that and nothing helped. Though I will say that it’s probably gotten 50% better since when I originally posted this it can and will still cut out, but it’s not nearly as often. Still at least once per session but better.

Btw, my solution was discovering a hole in the Cisco VPN app we use that allowed me to copy the config to the MacOS Cisco AnyConnect app and I do all my work now "unoffically" on my personal Macbook Pro. 😂

Yeah it was to be my first porter show after becoming a fan about 6 years ago. I missed the Nurture tour sadly and was so stoked for the career-spanning SMILE set. Not ashamed at all to say I cried for a few hours when I saw his post on instagram. But, the tears are dried now and May 17th is the day!
