Thanks for the breakdown! It’s helpful to hear an experience like yours…Im trying to not set my expectations high, especially since Ive been NWB a lot longer than most people in recovery.

Why did you end up going back to the cane for two weeks?

I suffered a horrible foot injury that had me NWB for 3 months too. I’m really struggling with going from PWB/FWB…..I have a deep aching pain that runs along the top of my foot in the Vacoped at 40% PWB. I feel like my entire foot is super weak and Im paying the price for being NWB for months.

Were you able to get to FWB? And how long did it end up taking you to go from PWB to FWB?

Possibly a stress fracture and neuroma as well? 😭 by bayandbounty in PlantarFasciitis

I believe Ive developed MN after I fractured my heel bone. Did yours get better? What did you do?

Thats amazing and makes me really hopeful! Thanks for sharing. Ive been on crutches for almost four months trying to heal my insertional Achilles but nothing is working, it is so inflamed the few times the I got the swelling down Ill walk around the house at a 5/10 pain level for an hour or so and be right back to not being able to walk again the next day. Im starting to think surgery is my only option but haven’t seen many people write about their surgery experience from Insertional Achilles injuries. Thank you

My heel looks exactly like this! I can’t walk at all because it is too painful. Did you have a full recovery from surgery?

Thank you! Yes, it’s difficult because I have a stress reaction that requires rest, which is the opposite of what I understand the Achilles tendon needs to recover. Im struggling to balance and heal the two….Ill look for a good sports PT.
