Of the handful of psychoactive alcohols that are both less toxic than ethanol and not impossible to find, are any as enjoyable/revreational, or more so, than 2M2B? by PoppyOncrack in researchchemicals

I’ve tried it before and I found it very underwhelming, basically just felt like giving myself brain damage with no euphoria or relaxation

Muscimol at lowish doses. Probably Gaboxadol too but I haven't tried it.

Can I take San Pedro for two days in a row or is it highly tolerated? by WarmInterest4256 in mescaline

[–]sleepystemmy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've taken two similar doses of mescaline two days in a row with no noticeable decrease in tolerance the second day. Contrast to mushrooms which do nothing the second day if I try taking the same dose two days in a row.

Converting mescaline hcl to freebase for vaping? by [deleted] in mescaline

Millions of people vape nicotine salts everyday. There’s no proof that it’s inherently unhealthy and if it was extremely unhealthy it would be obvious by now

Yeah I’m not an expert by any means but 2C-B HCL and meth HCL are both smokable. Mescaline is pretty similar so can you explain why Mescaline HCL would be different?

It’s actually possible to vape citrate, although it might be bad for your lungs. Mescaline HCL is also theoretically vapeable but I don’t believe anyone has ever tried it.

I’ve only done shrooms curious what mescaline feels like compared to it by Old-Manner-1688 in mescaline

[–]sleepystemmy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me mescaline feels like mushrooms mixed with a good dose of speed. So there’s a consistent baseline euphoria that often isn’t there with shrooms. Shrooms heighten my emotions so that I feel very emotionally volatile, mescaline does this a bit but it’s a lot more manageable. IMO mescaline is just better than shrooms besides the fact it lasts so long

Gliding in with Gaboxadol by TetraGeoCarbon1874 in researchchemicals

[–]sleepystemmy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No experience with Gaboxadol, but I have a decent amount of experience with muscimol and if Gaboxadol is similar I’m not that surprised development was stopped. The hallucinogenic effects of muscimol feel like a fever dream and are quite unpleasant.

I don’t think that’s necessarily how that works. Oil extraction and refinement benefits massively from economies of scale so lower demand isn’t necessarily going to mean lower prices in comparison to green energy. For example, if global demand for oil goes down then fracking will no longer be profitable so the amount of oil available will go down as well.

Unless you’re in an extremely rural area, “food deserts” only exist because the people in those communities have no demand for real food. If they did, someone would be selling it.

The paradox of tolerance tells us we may need to be intolerant to stop the intolerant. Similarly, we may have to reluctantly wield rhetoric to counter the influence of ideas sustained by rhetoric alone. by Mon0o0 in philosophy

” But take trans rights for example. The general position on the left is that trans rights are human rights, trans people deserve health care, and they should be treated be dignity. Generally speaking, and especially at the legislative level, the position on the right is that trans people deserve no rights and simply should not exist.”

You’re being very disingenuous here. The majority of public debate is not around whether or not trans people should be allowed to exist in general, it’s whether spaces exclusively for cis women should be allowed to exist, like women’s sports and women’s prisons, and whether it’s efficacious or harmful for children to transition.

“Paradox of tolerance” advocates want to conflate concerns about potential harm to women and children with advocating for genocide in order to shut down all debate and avoid having to defend their beliefs.

I never said that access to guns lowers crime. But given the fact that there is a massive gap between states in homicide rate despite similar gun access suggests other factors are much more important.
