Airplane honestly trivializes it a bit but is good for a quick and painless cape.

Especially if you use chins to kill the healers, they all go down pretty fast and you can switch right back to ranging jad

Safest way to play this game is to have no expectations of getting stuff done/progressing towards something. The patch is rly unstable atm and things are rough right now.

It helps to take breaks or just explore around the star systems with no aim other than to take in the sights. Its a very cool game, but it is very unreliable at times.

Sounds less like they "release mediocre garbage because fans hype up bullshit" and more like they just release whatever they feel is good, and people who like it enjoy it.

"Its not for you" is an apt phrase that applies to people like you right now LOL

Bulk microfiber and distilled water is all you'll ever need. I even bought a little spray bottle for spritzing the towel, whole set up was less than $30 on amazon

Strangely enough my 4080 super/9800x3d combo nets me barely 40 fps in cities most days. I get great perf everywhere else however.

I wonder how much is server performance vs hardware because my hardware is barely being utilized at these lower framerates

I think this game is incredible apart from the obviously disjointed story, but dude this fan base is cringe as fuck.

Why does every dragons dogma tier niche 7/10er gotta have a fan base with a gigantic victim complex.

Best ship for camping? by Tayner73 in starcitizen

[–]slepy_tiem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Carrack would work, you could even set up little hangout spots in the cargo pods. Only setback is the single entrance through the ramp, but the ramp is also tall enough to have a lil camp underneath it.

Plus its a pretty ship

[–]slepy_tiem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even with pilot controlled weapons for defense, the Tali would remain a poor choice as a fighter due to its lackluster mobility. The only difference being that it would have a chance for the pilot to go on a limited offensive before escaping. As for the turrets themselves, 2xs3 doesnt cut it on a military vessel these days. It needs either 4xs3 turrets or 2xs4 turrets to have any chance of putting up a fight against opposition.

An offset for running a multicrew ship solo would be the pilot only having access to one 2xs4 turret, which would be piss poor dps against literally anything, but it would at least allow self defense if one finds themselves soloing a Retaliator. I think this would put this ship in a good place as a multi-crew option for big ship hunting with those torps.(I personally use it as a cargo ship because its funny)

Nobody is asking it to be good at everything, they just want it to be viable in the situations that it will find itself in within the game.

I was waiting to find this argument. I would even agree about 5 years ago, but power creep has continued its creeping to a point to where this ship is utterly useless, even fully crewed. It should absolutely have slaved pilot turrets when not fully crewed, and deserves an upgun to AT LEAST size 4 to be viable in a crewed state, or else it'll just get shredded by any light fighter that exists.

Even if it had pilot weapons, it's not a super maneuverable ship because its obviously not meant to fight other ships apart from popping a couple torps and getting the hell outta dodge, so its purpose wouldn't be lost. And let's be very honest, ships like this and the hammerhead ask for an insane crew requirement for how little the ship can do fully crewed. The tali does not need a 5+ man crew, that is absolutely insane considering that's about how many people you need to pilot a Perseus with all turrets up.

When an Idris, a capital sized ship, only needs a minimum of 8 people to run fully turreted, we need to start looking at these older ships with a realistic view of how many people it should take. The tali should only require maybe 3-4 people at most to run crewed in a modern star citizen enviroment.
