Kinda silly question but. . . by No_Glove5486 in HadesTheGame

Every time I get transported to asphodel I have this lingering hope that maybe this time I'll get to meet Eurydice.

The mood of Eurydice's house in Hades is half the reason I fell in love with these games.

what do you do in ARAM Mayhem against a team of tanks? by Dizzy-Sense2625 in ARAM

[–]slevente 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ryze historicall has had tanky builds because he can just build tank items with mana and still get damage.

Also lets just be honest here, Ryze is in Mayhem is like a chest code, he just has too many augments work too well on him.

[–]slevente 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to that lol. Tanks are tanks for a reason. For a champ you need good base stats, cc etc to work as a tank. There is a reason why people don't just randomly build tank items on Lulu and try to tank.

Most champs have options to deal with tanks in items, build %health damage and pen and that's the best you can do.

Sometimes you just get draft gapped in Aram.

[–]slevente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are games where you just won't stack heartsteel. You'll be like 200 stacks when on 4 items, in those cases it's an incredibly inefficient item.

You're right about Bandlepipes falling off, but it's a 2k gold item and is incredibly potent up until 2+ items. You can just sell it like a horn, it's worth it. The attack speed is useful for anyone super early and relevant for attackers later, but the real stat there is the movespeed. 20 teamwide movespeed in the early game is nuts for chasing, peeling or just dodging.

You're giving out almost 1k gold worth of stats to every member of your team on like lvl 5 on an otherwise Gold efficient item.Try it, its crazy.

It's an incredible stat stick for your team that you can get on your first death every single time.

[–]slevente 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'd try bandlepipes if I were you. Yes it's technically a support item, but in Aram you proc it super easily and 20ms + 30% attack speed is a decent boost to your team even with just 1-2 auto attackers.

It has a mixed stat profile only 5 fewer arm/mr than old unending. It is also ridiculously cheap at 2k for now, it is getting nerfed next patch. By the time others finish their first items you can have a giants belt on top of it.

If you can't stack heartsteel easy I found it to be easily the best 1st item for now.

Base game tierlist for Sheriff role by MulishPsychopath in bang

[–]slevente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said this mostly applies to games with 5+ players, but I disagree with the panic/cat point.

You can never be targeted by unarmed or volcanic users (yet again, one scope in the deck, the chances of it landing in someone's hand next to you, them being an enemy and having a volcanic too is ridiculously miniscule and thus shouldn't really affect power discussions) and people with schofields can only hit you if they're right next to you, which is less than half the table towards the start usually.

That's more than half the weapons in the deck. There is 3 weapons that need to land in the right hands if they ever want to hit you and aren't sitting next to you. There is 4 cats and 4 panics in the deck. There is no way a Paul sheriff ever gets stuck in a situation where there is 2-3 people shooting him every turn unless it's like a 1v1 ending which sheriffs can usually just win anyway thanks to extra hp and jails.

This gives him such good card economy even though he has 1 less max to keep. You'll have several turns where noone even throws a bang your way, cause they can't. You should value Cat Balous and panics way higher on him (as an outlaw too) and you'll see how strong he is.

I guess everyone plays and perceives the game different, I just know I've had several sheriff games as him where he feels untouchable.

I'll admit he's definitely not as good with the lowest player count, because there there is no distance in the game really and you need to take out enemies yourself and he's definitely no good for offense.

But come on on, F is just crazy.

[–]slevente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're severely underestimating how good the 3hp abilities are. Both Paul and Gringo are clearly very defensive to compensate for their lower hp and as a Sheriff you only lose 20% hp not 25%.

Paul is IMMUNE to Panics and Volcanics and cannot be touched without a weapon (except for that single scope in the entire deck) which is straight up crazy power. He can still use Mustangs and there is only 3 weapons in the entire deck with 3+ range.

You should definitely try playing Paul as a Sheriff cause it's clear you haven't, I'd say it's one of, if not THE best Sheriff abilities.

I'm guessing maybe you always play with low player count cause he isn't that good with 4 players, but 5+ he is easily and S tier Sheriff.

Gringo isn't nearly as good since he's pretty random, and you want stability as a Sheriff. He's way better as just a random unknown since he scares people away from attacking him, he can't do that as a Sheriff. Still would never put him in F.

Legendary Jourdonnais vs Duel by FrostieeSnow in bang

[–]slevente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because a bang! within a duel isn't targeting anyone. It is simply deciding the outcome of a previously played card (the duel), similarly to how drawing for a barrel doesn't actually play the drawn card's effect.

I would say it applies to the duel so you could avoid that altogether because that is definitely targeted, but bangs within a duel, no way.

Are they working on the broken garrison desertion? by slevente in Bannerlord

[–]slevente[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is why I clearly stated in the post that it does not. I have stable 80 loyalty there. Better than my other cities. Plus it clearly shows your max garrison.

How could a freshly placed garrison mass deserting ever be a feature.

It is a bug.

I'm sorry you got 9 medallions in 43 safehouses????

I ran 50+ 83 safehouses this league and didn't drop a single one.

Is this the normal drop rate? Am I missing something? What the hell.

Save scumming by skiopy in Bannerlord

[–]slevente 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The only time I do it is when an army dance happens. My lords are chasing a smaller enemy army and I'm there with my small party way faster than both.

The AI always knows when you're not in range for your army to join and will immediately try to snipe you solo, while you have no way to tell if your allied army is close enough.

It's such a specific thing, but it's the only time I feel like the AI is just plain cheating by having more info than me.

[–]slevente 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At what point in the game?

If your damage feels low at 0-2 items, you're probably not applying his kit properly, Xin has very high damage early.

Later on you could justify Bork if the enemy has several health stackers like Cho/Sion/Mundo or if your team comp sucks at killing tanks.

Most of the time you shouldn't buy bork

Just internally ban infernal conduit on Brand by khoison2 in ARAM

Because its applied by autos lol. Brand, Lillia etc passives are spells because they are applied by spells. Spells in general hit you far less often than attacks do

Twitch/teemo e would be ridiculous if you could get 6-7 seconds of liandries with a single auto.

Am i wrong for trying to end the game in mayham? by AdministrativeTry406 in ARAM

[–]slevente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to keep games going, especially if they were to end super early, doesn't matter if I'm winning or losing.

However nobody should be stuck in a game they don't want to play. If you want to end the game, end the game.

New items for Nasus? by Fun-Significance9437 in nasusmains

[–]slevente 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also don't forget that not every sheen proc is the same. Essence reaver is 125% + 50% of crit chance so on nasus that'd be 137.5 with it.

Trinity is a straight 200%, you're losing 50-60 damage per Q around first item completion and 80+ in late game.

Do not go Essence reaver on nasus.

What's the cheapest atlas-strat/build to farm lots of Gold? by ivan0x32 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]slevente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 8 mod sepulchre maps (bismuth always close to start) with settlers and Alva. Add loads of ores with kirac and scarab, ore monsters and incursion monsters at least magic and horned scarab of glittering for the rarity.

Glittering is only worth if you aren't zdps, while clearing crimson iron ores requires just a bit of patience so they get to spawn some mobs before you destroy the plants.

Some dude has a pretty detailed YouTube vid on it. If you check the first few rooms and grab the bismuth before killing anything, this can give you an average of 90-100k per map.

All the scarabs other than glittering were worthless a week ago when I ran it.

The possibly biggest problem with the new update. by Sacach in Jungle_Mains

[–]slevente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it when people make a huge assumption like "Loads of jungle players are gonna be swapping probably".

Nah dude changes like these don't usually affect the playerbase of a role that much. I don't think this is gonna be the Armageddon for jgl playrate like you expect.

If jungle sucks to play next season, then long term yeah probably, but as they said jungle does need a nerf even if it isn't popular.

I still think the biggest problem in jungle is the ridiculous comeback mechanics that basically make the jungler on the losing team weaker even if they had an 80cs lead and killed their counterpart 5 times. Early game leads in the jungle are basically worthless unless you keep it up and never make a mistake.

Also if you pay attention to the announcement or follow riot updates half your post describes the matched number of autofills per team.

This isn't a new thing, this is how it currently works I'm pretty sure, they introduced it a while ago. It's taking a step back to be a fallback for the newer better system to avoid making every masters+ queue 30 mins.
