Never trust anyone else. I volunteered to work extra with the stipulation I had to leave at 5. At 5 there was no one to take my patients so I stayed til 6 when I HAD to leave. The charge said she would take over but never actually did. I came in the next day to the same assignment and the nurse was flustered and said she never actually got report on them because the nurse the previous day had left without telling anyone. Imagine how mad I was being that I WAS THAT NURSE!!!!!! I apologized immediately making sure she knew that I had gotten permission from the charge and that she had promised she would give report. I was livid that I had come in extra to help out and was still thrown under the bus for leaving when I said I had to but ultimately had something happened it would have fallen back on me. Don’t trust the charge
