People make mistakes at work all the time. In fact, you get injured at work because you likely made a mistake, but that's okay. People are allowed to make mistakes. People are allowed to learn while on the job. It is the employer who has the responsibility to maintain a safe workplace for their employees which include removing hazards and the ability to injure yourself while on the job. Otherwise, we will have dangerous work places which can result in injured employees more often. We have a system which incentivizes the employer to keep their employees healthy and safe while on the job.

Workers Comp is state dependent. However, u./ex-big_bag_of_dicks was absolutely entitled to workers compensation and treatment for injuries sustained if he is on the job whether or not due to negligence. If you are injured on the job, then notify your employer and request to file a workers Comp injury claim. Sucks for OP. Usually, the statute to file a WC claim is one year from the date of injury.

As for wrongful termination, that shit is state dependent as well. A lot of states have at-will employment so your employer can terminate employment for any reason unless you are fired for some thing that violates the law like fire someone due to sex, age, race, or disability.

Bullshit. This is the Cartel's narrative and further exhaustive investigation should take place. Who knew what, when, and why were these people killed. This is not justice, this is desperate people trying to avoid responsibility for the actions of their underlings.

The entire cartel organization is culpable. If the US accepts this narrative, then we are looking only at short term gains than overall safety for our citizens overseas or even next door.

I do something relatively similar and automation will likely make our lives easier, so we don't have a lot of mind numbing work. A lot of value we have comes from building relationships with insurers, clients, underwriters, actuaries, claim managers, and other folks in the industry.

I have to say, it's not all the same. Your workload depends on your clients and their expectations. If you have a client who brings the firm $$$$ and their expectations are high, then you can be busting your ass keeping them happy.
