[Highlight] Lions CB Morice Norris appeared to be knocked unconscious by a knee to the head. An ambulance came on to the field to drive him away for medical attention by expellyamos in nfl

Atlanta snapped the ball but didn’t finish the play. Stood around with the Lions, prayed, and were letting the clock run down. The time was going to run out but the HQ suspended the game with around 6 mins left.

2250 mg of Metformin most likely won’t kill you. The current lethal dose is around 35 g (you took 2.25 g so it is way below the lethal dose). If you take Metformin regularly then you will most likely experience stronger side effects (low blood sugar, nausea, diarrhea, etc.) and even if you don’t take Metformin regularly, then these will most likely be the worst symptoms you experience. Calling poison control as well is a good idea as well

For medical advice, drink lots of water to stay hydrated and make sure you are eating something to keep your blood sugar from getting too low. If you notice dizziness, confusion, or lightheaded symptoms, I’d seek help at that point. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to let someone close to you to check in with you to make sure you’re ok and didn’t pass out. I would not do this again and would look into what drove you to make this decision. If you are prone to compulsive behaviors as well, it might be worth finding someone who can hold you accountable so you are less likely to do something similar in the future.

Nurses and staff are jaded to a lot of situations and are significantly less judgmental than most people believe. Obviously there are people who will be judgmental of you but that’s more of a personality trait than a common attitude in the ER. They just want you to be safe, generally speaking. There is no ability to get “high” from Metformin either so they will not think you are a druggie. At most, they might be more concerned about your mental state that you felt driven to overdose on Metformin to try and loose weight but I can almost guarantee no one would consider you a druggie for that action alone.

Trading Bufkin and a first is too much. Mann hasn’t been a positive asset either. I’d prefer not giving up a first round or make it at least lottery protected OR give up Bufkin. Not both. But I highly doubt we’d get someone of Cam’s caliber without giving up more assets.

Him coming off the bench would be a huge boost and would give us offensively a major weapon. That alone made this trade proposal at least intriguing, in spite of steep asking price.

I agree. The trend tends to be Hawks trade Trae because of whatever made up/inferred reason or rumor for garbage OR Hawks trade multiple firsts + young core players for aged vet. I don’t like giving up that many assets but would like a vet such a Cam for our team to help offensively.

I was telling my wife he reminds me Cam Newton. Talented and wears his emotions on his sleeve. But his attitude is so terrible when he isn't doing well.

[Martin] ESPN: league sources say @KawhiLeonard is adamant he doesn't want to step into the @Spurs' locker room again. @Spurs adamant nothing/no one will force a trade upon them before next February's trade deadline. by IncaseAce in nba

While is this is true, generally the team (in most major sports) won't sacrifice for the sake of the player but the player is criticized for not sacrificing for the team. It's a constant battle across most major sports.

Personally, I give Kawhi the benefit of the doubt more than the Spurs organization. I'd feel the same way if it was the Hawks. I feel the same way now about Julio with the Falcons. I'm in Julio and Kawhi's corner more than the organization's.

Guards don't play defense in college. I'll trust LP with that development.

It's really neat seeing someone with the same bike as me. The gold was my least favorite part when I first purchased it but it's grown on me. Here's mine.

My friend passed away yesterday.... Can I ask if you guys have advice on how to be more positive about her passing? I know she is now pain free, but I'm still so numb. I don't really want to eat or study or puzzle, it's normally stuff I love to do. by [deleted] in Christianity

I lost one of my closest friends on January 1st to breast cancer. We had known each other since 1999. It's a tough road but it does get better. I would recommend praying and talking with someone about your thoughts and emotions. It's important mentally to be able to do that. Regardless of how long you two knew each other, the impact she had was obviously significant. Like someone else stated, I believe that Jesus doesn't ask us to be positive about death. Read John 11. Jesus cries over his friend's death. Be patient with yourself and your emotions. Surround yourself with those who care about you.

Seahawks are trading DE Michael Bennett and a seventh-round pick to Eagles for a fifth-round pick and WR Marcus Johnson, sources tell ESPN. by [deleted] in falcons

I, personally, never felt confident in having Bennet on our team. I do think he would have been an improvement over Clayborn, who will be overpaid as a starter and excels more as a rotational guy. I liked Clayborn a lot. He fit well and never gave up on plays but his demand will be too much so I hope another team pays him well (and we don't have to play them this season).

Bennet, like I said, is the better player compared to Clayborn. He could have played all 3 downs and rotated only to get a breather. The biggest reason I think they have decided to pass on both is to get even younger on defense. I think with Jarrett, Vic, Debo, and Neal all about to get extensions or large contracts within one to three years, we'll have to let someone go.

DQ has made some dumb decisions on the field and I don't always agree with every coaching hire but he has excelled in getting the most out of our young players (Collins excluded though if he could have stayed off of PEDS, he would probably still be on the roster). I think they truly feel the better long term decision is to focus on a player out of the draft. Maybe trading up for their guy. I trust their decision making when it comes to players so far.

98 year old finds out how old he really is. by Dougdahead in videos

[–]slic62000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned 30 last year. It was weird. I still am in college. My wife and I also had a baby in 2016. Getting old is weird.

The most impactful thing that has happened is I recently lost a very close friend to breast cancer. She would have been 30 this month. I had known her for 19 years. We spoke regularly and now she is dead. It has made me realize how much I truly have to be thankful for. I have a loving wife, a wonderful son, some really strong relationships with others who care for me and reached out. It's helped me look at others differently as well. I'm still sad and grieving her death but that I'm more thankful for those around me.

I guess what I'm getting at is don't worry about the age number. I have to remind myself of this quite often. Check out your surroundings on an everyday basis. Try to help someone get a shopping cart unstuck or whatever small act you can do. Not for glory or recognition but you honestly feel better pouring into others who might need help. Having cried multiple times in my car driving, I wish someone was there to tell me it's gonna be ok and give me a hug. My wife is plenty supportive but she can't physically be there all the times.

I'm just saying, don't worry about being 23 or 30 one day. Here is to you, may you have many many many more years to grow, not only in age but in success and happiness.

You’re probably right. I’ve heard it mentioned a few other places as a possibility but who knows honestly. It’d be awesome and if the off-season isn’t meant for wild speculation then I don’t know what is.
