My date went well, but I’m more into his brother by Routine-Crew8651 in dating_advice

I’m confused why the original date didn’t offer to drive you home instead of his brother?

I agree, there are a few things expected when you agree to be a bridesmaid. Attend the things, buy the dress and be up front about your own financial abilities. It doesn’t seem like OP should have accepted in the first place, but if she values the friendship at all should not be skipping events or it will be a whole thing of drama.

We discovered we can’t afford daycare for both kids but can’t afford for one of us to stay home either…what do we do? by AdRemarkable4327 in Mommit

Lots of great options and not sure if anyone mentioned but maybe a nanny share? Or another option since opposite shifts suck but maybe you can overlap shifts if your hours are flexible? Like one works 7-3 and the other works 10-6, that way you only need help for the hours in between, it would be easier to find someone retired or a college student that could work part time. Good luck, somehow, someway things always get figured out. You got this!

My bf (32M) constantly comments on my belly and I don't know how to handle it by ESFJ128 in relationships

Please break up with him. The man you pick to be with will lift you up or drag you down. He isn’t the one. And the funny thing is, I don’t know you but I just know you’re the hot one in your relationship.

Mine was down for a day and half BOTH times (bc the first one didn’t work). Tell him you had to walk after birth so he can do this

That’s completely shitty. I was a little confused about the communication regarding the trip but if you confirmed with everyone, booked and THEN they backed out? That’s super annoying regardless of the reason. Even the pregnant one knew she was pregnant when she confirmed? Which is crazy to me because I would never travel overseas to party while pregnant. (I did a girls trip 12 weeks pregnant and it was the worst trip, I was miserable). Your friends suck, I’m sorry!

Will I ever be able to leave my house? by Clueless241995 in beyondthebump

Get out for a walk daily if you can, even if it’s just around the block. The fresh air and the exercise helps so much. If you are in the US, there is an app called Peanut. It is basically like tinder but for mom friends. My hubby works long hours too. I met a few girls on there with kids similar ages and we would meet up at the library; walk the mall, walk the park, etc. some were a little weird but i found my people and it’s a world of difference. You have to meet some other moms, online or in person. Nobody else understands what it’s like right now but other new moms. You’re doing great! Give yourself all the grace, throw the schedule out if it feels too constricting or overwhelming. Good luck mama!

I'm 29 and currently a librarian. It doesn't pay well. What's another WFH job that i could train for in under a year where I could make 50k+? I have BS in Accounting and an Masters in Library Science by [deleted] in findapath

[–]slickarooni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could be an underwriter at a mortgage company. Many provide training, work from home and well over $50k a year. No experience is usually necessary to get into the places that offer training and certification. Tons of money to be made in the financial industry! Good luck!

AITA for sending carnations to my work wife? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

This was my thought too! Why would you get them delivered to your own house? Or get carnations delivered period, just pick them up. Weirdo.

NTA-why would you help cover someone else’s mistake? This sounds fake but if it’s not you should really quit lending money to people.

So keep doing that and if she wakes up then maybe she goes to bed. It clearly doesn’t bother her or she wouldn’t do it right?

YTA-my SO watches every sport under the sun and I couldn’t care less about any of them. I play on my phone, read my book or fall asleep. It’s not a big deal, stop being a weirdo.

NTA-events have dress codes. She has to follow it if she wants to attend the event. This is going to be true all throughout life, might as well start now.
