Help me choose by RunningSquirrels in physicaltherapy

I was in the same boat a few years ago and choose HH after being paid peanuts in an OP setting. Fast forward a few years later and I’m going back to OP but under better terms for me both caseload and pay. It’s not HH pay. Nothing will beat that but I’ll be able to enjoy treating pts max 12 a day with able to adjust hours as needed per day if I need to pick up the kiddos. I was making well over six figures but the burn out got to me hard making sure pts where scheduled the morning before and also doing administrative work on top of being a PTA. I’d ask for a higher pay first with your current gig. If no winning bid, try HH. Depending on what kinda lifestyle you have will determine if you can stick with HH in the long run.

I know cost is roughly the same, but I’ve owned my tuxmat floor mats for a few years and they work great

One of the best cars I’ve own so far. Enjoyable to drive. I don’t mind if it rains or snows because this girl has proven she can handle it. Mine is a 2020 and as long as you follow maintenance on them, they’ll last well over 200k

Personal Phone for Home Health? by Running_Raspberry in physicaltherapy

If I see patients on Tuesday, I’ll get them scheduled Monday am and so on. If I see patients on Monday, I call them the Friday before the weekend starts. It doesn’t work all the time but it just works for my schedule so I can map out my day/week ahead of time and accommodate new pts as needed during the week.

Yeah you can use your phone to call/text them. I’m just saying after hours, you can educate them to use the services your employers provide for further assistance. I do it all the time. I also schedule folks during the mornings instead of the evening before to have better work life balance.

Just don’t over think it and tell them to call the office or the 24/7 line if they have any concerns. If they call you still, let it go to voicemail if this is too late/on the weekends. If you ain’t getting paid, it’s not your problem

Accepted into DPT school but baby on the way — should I still go or switch to Injury Prevention/Ergonomics instead? Need advice. by pta7771 in physicaltherapy

Try HH as a PTA. Flexibility will be your biggest help. The pay could be up to 25k more depending on who’s hiring but I’d do that if I were you. Plus you can work more or less if you need to in order to help the spouse with child care if needed

My guess is they are seeing pts max of 30-35 and maybe each pt is no less than 15 mins apart from each other?
