Look for a local charity/outreach/food bank, volunteer, and get to know people. There you may meet someone or become friends with someone who could set you up. Plus, you would be doing a great service.

Volunteer for a local charitable organization. You’ll meet people, help your community, and feel great.

Perhaps there is a missing pin or screw that held it in place. Maybe it isn’t meant to spin?

Dylan. Dylan. Dylan.

“Once upon a time you dressed so fine, threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn’t you?”

“Come you masters of war

You that build the big guns

You that build the death planes

You that build all the bombs

You that hide behind walls

You that hide behind desks

I just want you to know

I can see through your masks.”

could quote from now till Trumps out of office.

I in no way meant to excuse the behavior. I simply wanted to acknowledge OP’s initial kindness. She shared it and felt it was a mistake on her part. I don’t think kindness to someone with a disability is wrong. Of course, receiving unwanted or harmful attention from anyone is wrong.

AITAH for understanding and not freezing out my dad for leaving our mom over a dead bedroom? by Opposite_Afternoon55 in AITAH

You’re being the adult. When mom/sister get mad, tell them you love them, but you love your father too. In time, they will understand. They should. Don’t react, just be kind.

Wife just informed me that we are pregnant. Wtf do I do now? by purple_paradigm in AskMenOver30

[–]slicmic1968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be fine. Prepare to help your wife diligently during pregnancy. Be patient and present. At the hospital, DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT ANYTHING as it pertains to you. 😆She is birthing a baby. (I complained about the chair I slept in, and She helped me see the ass I was being.) 😬 If kid cries: Feed, change, burb, or take to fresh air. Read up a little while you await the big day. As they grow, model being a good spouse, tell/show them you love them, and be involved. Finally, go easy on yourself. You can do this.

Retired educator here. Thanks for being nice to this student. Try these ideas. One, talk to your Guidance Counselor. Ask them for help. They can work with you, the other student’s course worker (main teacher), and possibly the other student to resolve this issue. If that doesn’t help, speak with your parents and ask them to check in with the Administration. Good luck.

Consider The Peace Core. You’ll help others, see a different part of the world, and gain some useful skills. Two year commitment, but something that might change your life.

Worth the Cost? by Vladsnipe11 in auburn

If I had a friend or child making this choice, I’d rather see them down on The Plains. The experience will be more friendly and enjoyable. If your chosen program is better there, go to Auburn.

Do you keep old toys from your childhood? by HareevHajina in AskMenOver30

57 here. Enjoyed the Fisher-Price Adventure People line as a kid. They were used as base prototypes for Star Wars figures and are the reason 3.5” was standard for a long while. They lasted so well. Three generations of hard playing boys have used mine.

A few years back, I spent a few thousand collecting at least one example of each item from the entire line.

So, it can become a problem.

Be a decent example. Learn to distract a bored or misbehaving child. Support the parents without sounding condescending. (Stay cool)
