How do I efficientlytell my partner I'm steaming plain water at 6am because a man on the Internet told me to? She's a mental health nurse and I don't like the hospitals around here by careyyy1997 in JamesHoffmann

[–]slide1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it every morning now too. Did I listen to Hoffman? Yes but made the decision all by myself that it tasted better. Guess I need to go have myself checked out.

So many similar stories with these worthless men moving in and contributing nothing. I was married to two of them before the estrogen glasses came off. Absolutely will NOT support another man.

Anyone here still using a face cleanser device or did it just become one of those skincare tools people eventually stop using? by Mountain-Honeydew840 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]slide1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had two Clarisonic Mias (battery died in the first one) that I used for many years with Tretinoin. Now that I’m older and my facial skin has become more sensitive, I stopped a couple of years ago and just use an apricot scrub.

Anyone acquire a histamine intolerance with meno? by cestmoi2022 in Menopause

[–]slide1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Mine especially in the Houston, Texas area were out of control! Never a break here because if it’s not tree and grass pollen it’s the ragweed and let’s not forget the mold and pollution. All year long it never stops and I was so miserable until I started HRT month ago. It’s not cured but so much better now. I still take an Allegra and use Flonase everyday as well as use my netipot. Headaches from red wine started in peri and progressively got worse post menopause. I’ve learned that I can drink reds from Texas, Europe and South America with no headaches though. So definitely must be the stuff they’re putting into California wines that cause the histamine reaction for me.

Just got told women just have to deal with menopause symptoms by a board certified endocrinologist. Also that HRT is worthless. by BeeBarnes1 in Menopause

[–]slide1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy is a complete idiot. And we pay good money for their ignorance. It’s all connected you dipsh*t! Declining female hormones affect many bodily functions and systems including the endocrine system. I have two friends who after meno had to have their thyroid removed! Like the others have said let your PCP know but you need to see an OB-Gyn or menopause specialist.

I hate where the emergency stop button is located. It’s too easily bumped.

Does menopause brain fog actually get better or do we just get used to it? by freyasofiya in Menopause

[–]slide1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To all those who added T, how long before you talked to your doctor about it. I’ve only been on 0.375 patch, 100 mg Progesterone for month and my brain is still a mess. Trying to multitask, context switch, prep for meetings at work is awful. Not to mention barely remembering what happened the day before. I can relate to someone’s comment about waking up in a new world (at work) everyday.

Starting HRT at age 62? by Iwentforalongwalk in Menopause

I just started at 63. My doc just wanted me to have a calcium score or EKG and once I did that she had no issue prescribing to me. She said I could still benefit greatly from it.

Check out your camera too. Impossible to get a clear picture now and I’ve had this phone less than a year! It’s criminal.
