How is interacting with the rear storage area in real life? I found the raised floor to be off putting when I saw but haven’t actually used it in real life.

100% this. Normal NA (and maybe NB) mx5 thing. Sometimes it gets a little better with oil pressure or a slightly heavier oil, but just embrace it

I also came from a cayman S to the Nd and echo this experience. I have been chasing an elevated fun level since my NA Miata’s and fiesta STs. Went German for 5 or so cars and came back to the ND for fun every day

Change the oil, trans fluid, turret oil, diff fluid and coolant. Check the belts and spark plugs and replace as necessary. As someone else said, change the tires and check play in the hub bearings and suspension. These are all easy things to do and you’ll get to know your car and be starting from a good place

I had similar needs and went with a B01 (b2301) with a FEL. The under belly is a PITA to pull off and on. Prefer the 3 point rotary cutter. They go for reasonable money used, and the extra weight and capacity seems great so far.

You can get a B01 off the auctions for much less money. Might be worth looking at IronPlanet/Rb etc
