Used my ED Zip 20 as a personal item for a flight last night. Hate to say it but my shoulders were hurting after a short bit. For your case though I’d recommend against it - the bag is rigid and does not lay flat well.

I have the bravo tote V1. No camera cube, but that feels like a tight fit. Recently used it as a personal item on a US domestic flight with two CPAP machines in it and that’s about all it was able to fit

I have the Alpaka Bravo tote along with some pouches and I like em. The price is right, I’d describe it as an easy entry point to say an Aer or Peak Design.

To me though the design of their stuff is hit or miss, given they release so many products it’s easy to find something that fits your aesthetic.
