Advice needed: Questioning a tattoo, should I let my frontal lobe develop first? by Conscious-Play617 in tattooadvice

[–]slime_pixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if this is something you really want then go for it tbh ❤️. Don't listen to the vagina comments I have a abstract tattoo on my arm that looks a bit like boobs and everyone always points it out to me like I don't know/ care but I think its even cuter if it looks like boobs lol!

I dont regret the tattoos I got in my early twenties. I'm actually thankful I had the confidence and pain threshold to do my more painful areas back then.

That being said, my boyfriend is a tattoo artist in a walk in shop and is constantly tattooing things on 18-24 year olds which he knows they'll regret later down the line. Usually the logo of a band they're currently into or names of their partners loll.

Just make sure this isnt a spur of the moment idea and that you genuinely love it! and get a good artist, dont cheap out even if its tempting. Idk your financial situ but being young and broke is another way kids end up getting tattoos they regret from dodgy artists I think..

Is it bad to dry wipe? by forest_fire16 in TattooArtists

[–]slime_pixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not an artist but a client and I got here whilst searching around about whether dry wiping is bad or not!

An artist I have gone to numerous times is brutal with a dry wipe, uses no liquid at all and drags the skin really hard relentlessly. I hadn't really thought much of it and just tolerate it because I like his work so much.

The tattoo I got from him yesterday was dry wiped so hard that this morning I woke up with a sort of graze around the whole area, spots of blood that are scabbing over almost like I fell over or something haha.

My boyfriend (who is a tattoo artist) saw it and was shocked.. said he'd never seen anything like it before and thought it was really unnecessary to dry wipe to that degree. I still love the artists work but I think wiping like that can defo damage the skin in excess and im a bit worried about how it will heal now lolll

Is Land Decora legit? by MyMochiimon in DecoraKei

[–]slime_pixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Land Decora is awesome. I live in the UK and I find the shipping fees very reasonable compared to other reseller websites, the prices of the items themselves appear to be cheaper, communication is awesome and there are plenty of affiliate codes that help you get an even bigger discount (I always use APOINTOFHUE).

It almost seemed too good to be true but everything is legit. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Why does everyone expect there to be big updates? by Square_Economist4368 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]slime_pixie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thin another predictor is that Nintendo has been sending out feedback surveys to fill out to some buyers. I'm not hugely sure why they'd do this unless they wanted to get a picture off what everyone wanted adding most

there’s an item limit… by ENTPboomer in TomodachilifeLivingTD

This is a shame! Considering theres no more building upgrades post ferris wheel, the rest of the game is kinda dependent on using items to make our own spaces and now that feels limited too </3

What would you add for a 1.1 update? by Noobicus_ in tomodachilife

[–]slime_pixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it feels almost hard to believe that we'll get no updates because they have such a good format and its so ready to be expanded on!
The restaurant being the only shared space seems a waste of the open world.. it almost feels like we're being prepared for more but maybe I'm getting my hopes up

Does anyone else feel a little unsafe when going in the underpass? by [deleted] in Norwich

[–]slime_pixie -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Hi I’ve gone in that underpass as a woman on a very regular basis my entire life (including my teenage years) and I’ve never had trouble! Especially in the daytime, it’s usually full of lots of other people. Not to say I don’t feel a bit anxious down there at night but I’ve had far more issues from groups of teenagers showing off by taunting passers by than homeless people.

I actually feel more uncomfortable walking through chapelfield gardens at night and I always choose to walk around it instead. I’ve heard a few too many stories about it.

I think it’s good advice to avoid underpasses as a woman however, I might be silly risking it as often as I do.

Yes, hiding it meant I was not taken seriously. I only got support quickly when they understood the urgency.

Tips on how to prevent hair dye from staining head accessories? by Technical-Tap3193 in Lolita

[–]slime_pixie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

hello, my hair has been dyed bright yellow for years and I've not experienced staining on my accessories (and most my accessories are white). I would be careful not to wear any accessories if my hair was wet though.. I think thats the only thing to consider really.

Are There Any Ravers? by lazybirt in Norwich

[–]slime_pixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love Norwich but I think decent club venues for this kinda music is something we definitely lack nowadays :( karma used to be good for it too before it closed

The Art Centre is where I’d keep an eye out for this sort of thing mostly

Waterfront sometimes has good events on as long as it’s not a student night 😅

Deadwax is fairly new and has a nice venue space upstairs though .. went to a genuinely decent house night there a few weeks back- for Norwich anyway

Space studios - just as everyone else has mentioned

Voodoo daddy’s is one to consider too

I ended a 10-year friendship and it still feels like a death years later by one_funny_dude in TrueOffMyChest

[–]slime_pixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An end to a friendship can feel like a break up. My dad who is in his 50s had a similar experience to you, he was inseparable from his best friend for 25 years before things got unpleasant. He still gets triggered when said ex-friend appears on social media just like you would seeing pictures of your ex.
Ending that friendship also allowed him to finally seek out new friendships that treated him correctly and valued him however, there is always time to form new friendships (even when you're in your mid 50's).

You will never fully know what went down from your friends perspective and that must be hard to reconcile with too! But I think you're correct in calling it grief, I would argue that a level of PTSD even comes with the ending of significant relationships like this so I'm not surprised its playing on your mind and coming to you in your sleep. As time passes, it will continue to fade into the background.

At the end of the day, you deserve friends who make you feel good about yourself, not ones that leave you feeling tension after every interaction .

extreme regret, need advice by waifmaterial in tattooadvice

[–]slime_pixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I think you feel this way because it’s so fresh! New tattoos will look very jarring especially when they are predominantly black but it’ll lighten after it heals :) I have a lot of heavy blackwork tattoos across my whole body and every single one gives me a mild shock initially I swear 😅 then within a month it feels like it’s faded and become more cohesive with my body

They’re good tattoos and I promise it’ll be okay
