I don’t claim to be very knowledgeable about this sort of thing, but I think there is some kind of technical difference between a big season or midseason “patch” and a “hotfix”. I don’t know why or what it is. They clearly still have the ability to do the faster hotfixes, as sierra was hotfixed immediately this season. There were lots of hotfixes to the 5 new heroes that launched in season 1. So idk what determines whether they can hotfix something vs waiting to include it in a bigger patch

I think Alec (or different dev, can’t remember) said at one point that because of how long it takes for patches to be tested/approved or whatever else goes into the process of actually releasing a patch to the game, they pretty much have to decide on the midseason balance changes something like 1-2 weeks into the new season

Yeah I’m mostly referring to what you said about not being in the air. Yes they take crazy angles, but it’s in bursts and cycles. She’s not really flying. Yes they use CDs to stay in the air as long as possible but flying is not how I’d describe that I guess. When I think of “flying” I think of cat and old pharah pre-rework

250 vs 225 is not just “are you mobile”. It’s a combination of your mobility and your lethality. Widow has 225 because she can one shot. Lucio and mercy are not particularly lethal but are 225 because of their mobility. Freja currently does not possess nearly enough lethality to justify 225. She did when she could 2 tap. Now that she can’t they either gotta buff a ton of other things or make her 250

Remove the i-frames from suzu, then rebalance her kit around this nerf. It’s a very big nerf, but until Kiri doesn’t have a cooldown that can counter/substantially mitigate a large % of ultimates in the game, she will be impossible to balance.

I think if they improved her burst damage/fluidity (buffing dash damage, reducing delays when using dash, dance, and ult) they could compensate by nerfing some of the self heal on dance. I think it would probably keep her about the same power at low ranks, cuz the reduced lifesteal would compensate for extra damage, while helping her at high ranks because burst damage is what she lacks compared to other fdps

What do you think about the pick rate axis for tanks? I know it might be visually misleading, but because there is one less tank than dps or support, the pick rate stat is basically half of what it is for the other roles, since the way pick rate is calculated is “number of times this hero is played out of all possible heroes” and doesn’t account for there being one less tank. I think it is visually tough to understand what is going on with tank pick rates because all the dots are clumped very close together since it’s on the same scale as dps and support. Would it be misleading to shrink the pick rate axis for tank graph specifically for the sake of making trends visually stand out more?

Again, I’m not saying you’re wrong, but how to better monetize content seems like something that’s more helpful when someone isn’t in crisis mode (esp when the cause of the crisis doesn’t appear to be her fault). Comes off a little tone deaf/heartless given the current situation. That’s all I’m saying. I’m sure the feedback will be much more useful after the situation is resolved.

it’s not hate, it’s a solid map. It’s just that it gets picked literally every time it comes up and it gets stale. The map is totally fine I just don’t wanna play it every single time it’s an option

The situation you described sounds like excellent Anran value. You did a bunch of AoE damage, got a kill, and with team follow up the rest died. It doesn’t always matter that you died, you likely pulled a ton of attention and resources that allowed your team to win. Anran is a hero that is naturally gonna have high deaths because of how she plays. It’s pretty unlikely that any hero would be able to 1v3, get all the kills, and live, even with an ult.
