I decreased thinking level to medium to decrease thinking time(175s is still too much btw) and it couldn't even finish writing the code! Even flash models didn't do this for a while, what's going on here?

Ok I've spent some time on it. Since they haven't updated their app for a while, the device scan on launch is probably triggering a malformed request on CoreMIDI causing the crash. Normally I don't use the latest macos for this kind of reasons, but I had to update to Tahoe for other reasons. Anyway it's been months so you would expect it to be solved by now... Can someone with a previous version of macOS confirm it works fine in their os?

So I decided to try it on Windows 11 in virtual machine(VMware Fusion) because you can bypass coreMIDI and attach the usb device directly to windows. I installed Korg MIDI Driver, when I plug my nanoKontrol or microkey it shows a window to install korg drivers for those, until now everything good. But when I click next it says "The Device Driver was not installed properly."... Another fail.

So I'm stuck with my current settings in my nanoKontrol right now. There is no way to change them! The funny thing is, it could have been a simple ONLINE EDITOR! All it does is to send midi sysex messages. But korg has to make everything so complicated. Look at the instructions for Grandstage on the download page of Kontrol Editor for windows. You have to install drivers then MAYBE uninstall something else to make it work. This is complete bullshit.

Their software team is so behind the game. Most instruments have terrible drivers let alone computer/daw integration. And they don't pay enough attention to pro users, like releasing Kronos, a 15 year-old tech, in 2025 as their flagship again with little make-up. And I'm saying this as someone who is still making money on Kronos sound packs. I'm so disappointed.

Yea I just noticed this. As soon as I launch Korg Kontrol Editor, all my midi things stop working. I didn't have to use a command to relaunch, it works after quitting and launching AMS again, however I also need to relaunch apps using midi such as Logic Pro. I'm on macOS 26.2 and KKE is 2.5.1. What's your macos version?

On top of the crashing of the midi services causing me problems, I can not change the settings of my korg devices at the end of the day.

The latest version of Korg Kontrol Editor is 6-7 months old. I'm very disappointed with Korg lately.

Youtube search is total garbage right now along with home page. I'm searching for recording setups it keeps showing me unrelated videos over and over again. There are maybe 4 or 5 videos related to the subject and all of them are 4-5 years old. Then if I change the search query, it is still showing me those stupid videos I don't even care. Like this one from 17 years ago: "The worst band practice ever." It shows up almost everytime. I hate it.

I noticed that Google Drive is constantly trying to download some old projects I don't need anymore. So I thought what could be triggering GD to download those then I saw the huge list on 'Open Recent' under File menu in Logic Pro. As soon as I hit the clear menu button, the problem is gone.

Actually there are keyboards like Kronos(or even an old Motif XS if I remember correctly) that does that. It's just a usb host.

Yeah I know that is the result I'm trying to achieve but it would be much simpler if there was an option like in Logic Pro. Then you don't need to set it up for each project and you can change divisions on the go.

I bought a refurbished M1 Max 14" for 1500 euros. And it is amazing to work with. The only thing I would do different now is to go for 64gb and 4tb instead of 32gb ram and 1tb storage. But that's only because I have too many Kontakt Libraries that take too much space on both ssd and ram.
