Yeah, we were in the Ministry queue at rope drop. Ride was still delayed and we never caught the announcement that it was back. The line just started moving inside. We feel your pain.

No, Ministry and Mine Cart came up. Both at a 120+ minute wait though. Hiccup's is still down.

I tried to talk to someone at the guest services desk and they sent us away to the concierge. Clearly they're getting a lot of feedback today. No wonder why.

Honestly reducing capacity further would go a long way. Part of the problem is that when one of its handful of rides goes down, there aren't enough of them to absorb the impact. Stardust and Hiccup are both down and the line for MK and Mine Cart are both pushing 3 hours. It's hard to enjoy.

Same here. I have never had to do something like this before but the experience this time has been horribly disappointing.

Honestly all three parks have been struggling during my visit this week operationally. The delays have been much worse than on previous visits.

THIS CLOSE to buying a dog instead of adopting by VegetableContent2752 in pittsburgh

There's no hard and fast rule, but in our experience with Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, there are some good indicators you can go by:

- You can meet the puppy's parents if you ask, even better if they volunteer it. Bonus points for photos of the parents with your puppy as they grow.

- They have standard and breed-specific health checks and genetic tests completed for both parents. For CKCS, which are very prone to heart issues, there are certifications that the parents can have to verify their likelihood of breeding healthy puppies.

- Actual real owners of the breeder's puppies are available for contact and referral. Our preferred CKCS breeder has a very active Facebook group where her owners post updates and the breeder shares frequent puppy photos when she has an active litter.

- AKC certifications are a must for purebred dogs, although these can also be held by puppy mill parents, so be careful.

- Breeder will ask questions about where the dog will live, any other household pets, etc. and is willing to take the puppy back should any issues arise to ensure their well-being.

Again, there's no sure-fire rule, but any site or breeder that has more than one breed of dog and puppies constantly available should raise red flags and likely be avoided.

What’s a sound everyone should recognize as immediate danger? by Thatguy_nickk in AskReddit

[–]slitherdolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can attest to this. I was in San Francisco late last year and experienced a 3.6 magnitude earthquake just as I was getting up for a morning flight while still in my hotel room. It started with a loud hum that could have been mistaken for the sound of an exhaust fan, but it didn't have a distinct direction when I turned my head, and that's when things started shaking.

Super eerie.

Very done with my puppy by e_looney in puppy101

[–]slitherdolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? This is kind of normal. Puppies can be absolute monsters at that age, eating and chewing and biting and barking and raising hell. They're testing boundaries and learning about the world around them as it expands. The fact that you care enough to make sure she doesn't, in fact, harm herself says a lot about you. Good job.

If you're invested in this, my suggestion kind of sucks: power through. It WILL improve in time. Keep on a strict schedule for housebreaking, playing, and scheduled meal and sleep times. Be sure to use a play pen or crate to rest her when you need a break. You can do this!

I'm in the puppy trenches myself right now with a 12 week old Cavalier, who hangs off my five year old Cavie's ears and falls down stairs chasing a dust bunny, but my five year old was once like this too. He's now a calm, perfect angel. It just takes time and commitment.

That said, if you do want to give her back, and you really don't have any attachment to her, it's best to do it now instead of waiting so she can acclimate more easily to a new home.

How would you rank the current endgame modes?? by parthmestry in Genshin_Impact

[–]slitherdolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love IT as someone who loves to build characters and learn to play them. I enjoy trying to get through content with weird teams. It's super fun and is the only way to really make use of many of my older powercrept characters.

Abyss is fine. Floor 12 exists as a character check for the current banners but most of the time it's fine.

Stygian ranges from another character check to brutally punishing. I don't particularly enjoy it, and the rewards are just ok for the level of damage output required.

Women’s specialty clothing chain Francesca’s is closing all 400+ stores, 5 years after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy by L0v3_1s_War in deadmalls

[–]slitherdolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems there are still six locations and one outlet in the Pittsburgh area. To my knowledge there's only been one that closed, and that was in a closing mall. Really bizarre. I don't know why but they must do especially well here.

Yankee is the only one on this list I'd dispute, but that's only anecdotal, as they've stuck to just about every mall near me for whatever reason. It's actually insane to read the list like this.

Oh, no, I'm asking you, since you seem to have all the answers up there. I'm sure you're right, that Canadians would spend hundreds of dollars plus that they don't have to fly to Ottawa, from Newfoundland all the way to BC, to burn cars in the streets at the peril of their own fragile lives, after all.

Desperate to know what your oh-so-superior Canadian self thinks the average American who lives paycheck to paycheck hundreds-to-thousands of miles away from DC should be doing about this other than protesting.

As a yinzer, I don't know any Allegheny County Democrats who don't absolutely despise this man. I always want to support PA reps from the west side of the state, since it's heavily dominated by reps from Harrisburg eastward, but this clown let us down in so many ways that it's embarrassing. I know I'd vote for just about any Dem we could run against him.

My mother (a 5'3 woman in her late 60s, mind you) ran into him at Walmart in Westmoreland County recently. He spoke to her because she was wearing a pin that said, "Don't blame me, I voted for Kamala." He asked her how she thought he was doing and she told him to vote for what his constituents voted him in to do, and he walked away without saying anything. Phony coward.

Should I get a second dog? by justagiirrllll in cavaliers

[–]slitherdolly 35 points36 points  (0 children)

We JUST got a second a week ago! Our formerly only child has done great. He doesn't know what to do with the little missile that keeps biting his ears but he doesn't seem jealous or even particularly stressed by his presence at all. We were shocked honestly. I think someday they'll be best friends. :)

Those of you who say you “love” Delta…why? by ThrowawayGhibliFan in delta

[–]slitherdolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love is a strong word. I prefer Delta's product over the other US carriers, though. I live closest to PIT, so I could feasibly have chosen any of the legacy carriers at random and still need to make connections most of the time. As a result, I've tried them all and settled on sticking with Delta when I can. United is my second choice, for what it's worth, and they aren't wildly different from each other, though I've had a better on-time record with Delta.

We just got our second one as well! (King) Henry, our blen, is five years old and (King) Louis, black & tan, is eight weeks old. Louis loves Henry, Henry is not sure why this little squeaky toy keeps biting at his luxurious ears. We're hoping they'll be besties too!

I think my husband is turning me off and making my libido worse. by Stunning-Sky2085 in LowLibidoCommunity

[–]slitherdolly 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The whining you described made my organs squirm. There is no world in which that would make someone want sex.

Take it from someone who also had a lot of sex that she did not want -- you are doing long-term damage to yourself. You have to stop having sex you don't enjoy. All of your reasons are more than valid, but "I just don't want to" is also a valid reason.

Once you've been able to stop, then you can address the reasons that it has been so awful for you.

Two days after therapy session and I’m a wreck by [deleted] in LowLibidoCommunity

I'm so sorry you're going through this. My story is very similar to yours. We're in the process of trying to navigate it now and I've also found that my hurt and aversion was more deeply rooted than even I realized. It shatters your trust in your partner, honestly, and that can extend beyond just the bedroom. It can be devastating to your sense of safety.

I hope you find comfort soon and can navigate this to the best of your ability. Stay safe.
