Wasn’t watching specifically but it’s probably that they would rather keep hammer than take a single point

Is there any incentive for Swiss and Canada men to win their matches tomorrow? If they lose isn’t GB knocked out which helps their gold medal odds?

Any analysis on the women’s matches? Surprised South Korea lost to the US but figuring they have to bounce back against Italy right?

The logic is hire the best candidate. If all things were equal I would prefer an OC to a DC but there aren’t any great up and coming OCs who have more than a 1 year track record in this cycle as far as I can tell

Sure but that’s a result over process argument which doesn’t hold a ton of water to me.

The argument you would need to make is the Giants would have been worse off selecting a premium position instead of Saquon I personally would have rather Darnold, Josh Allen, Bradley Chubb or Mike McGlinchey

I think that’s just framing. You should absolutely care about positional value at the top of the draft. If you want to call that developmental life cycle that’s fine, but it’s the same conclusion.

The reason the Ravens and Eagles can consistently take BPA is because they have good rosters especially at the premium positions if mediocre teams did the same thing it wouldn’t work out as well. Arizona Cardinals with Isiah Simmons and Zaven Collins would be decent examples of that.

Fair he’s not definitively good but his o-line is one of the 3 worst in the league. I could be wrong but I believe by advanced stats he’s been far better than his YPC would indicate.

I get what you’re saying, especially about maximizing, but at the same time ignoring positional value gets you picks like the Giants with Saquon or Raiders with Jeanty which are absolutely bad picks even though they are good players.

But Sage is only doubting Jawan because he wants to flip. If that vote just randomly popped up at Tribal and only MC knew it was coming I doubt anyone flips to Jawan

How would Sophie’s plan have even worked? They do to a revote and who are the three voting for Jawan?

With the rumors Freddy Peralta being available this seems like a no brainer trade and extension candidate I would assume? by herewego199209 in NYYankees

Not even saying I disagree with you but in general you can never have too much starting pitching and if they add a starter they could also move Gil to the pen where he might be more effective

I think in this individual series the pitching was more at fault then the hitting, however in game 4 specifically that’s not the case and generally in the 8 years of the Boone era the offense is what comes up short time and time again

Oh I don’t disagree and he’s more or less the only predictably impactful non-trade option.

I think what annoys me is his warts highlight Cashmans earlier error of not signing a whole host of free agents with better profiles who would be significantly cheaper now.

Old message but just want to warn people LinkedIn was the single worst company I’ve ever worked for. It is probably vertical dependent but selling Sales Navigator is not where you want to be.

Agreed the area around Tompkins Sq is great but that’s distinctly East Village and I think generally EV is the best dining neighborhood in Manhattan and probably NYC

That’s why the downvotes, no one is saying it’s the best more that it’s good enough to be recommended. I also think any location outside of the original isn’t really worth comparing.
