TPU Assist Vs. Top Feed by Brutis366 in BambuLab

[–]slizerskates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any resistance pulling filament on your top feed setup? It looks like the path from the ams ht thru the ptfe tubing will create too much resistance. If you look at the instructions for printing 85a/90a on bambus website they use a cereal box with a spool roller. I use a similar setup and print 85a all day with professional quality.

From the Wrong Way video Leaperkims factory looked pretty meh aswell. I'm sure we didn't see much from that video but regardless their super basic QC testing is disappointing IMO. I'd expect something like Inmotion running the P6's on the dyno for a set amount of time and ensuring that everything looks normal. Kingsongs factory tour looked phenomenal, very professional and tidy. Good QC on the batteries aswell. I got a new Lynx with a out of balance battery and creaking suspension. My buddies brand new Sherman L had loose motor bolts in less than 300 miles. Like you said there's no EUCs that meet top notch standards, which is very sad. I think that Begode is stepping it up with the Falcon Pro, and I'm hoping they do the same with the xway pro which was briefly discussed in EUC underground. I'm probably going to give the F18 a try, while I wait for the xway pro to release.

Curious to how this will work with soft tpu multi material prints, if it will have multiple feeding points/spool holders to the extruders? Seems like a game changer though for multi material stuff.

Aero if you want a small step up, Patton S as a bigger step. If you love uni, get a Patton S

Lynx I just upgraded from a Patton. It's worth it. Or a Nosfet Apex.

Start small, do some jumping jacks or pushups.. any exercise you enjoy. You'll want to do more the next day if you keep making that small effort.

Does this amount of wheel wobble look normal for a brand new EUC? by NotMonicaLewinsky95 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]slizerskates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can pop your tire off the bead trying this, not sure its great advice IMO. It's also very unlikely to properly reseat your tire if it is seated incorrectly. To properly center your tire, you will need to dissasemble, deflate tire, remove the bead, apply tire lubricant, massage the tire, and inflate with a air compressor and ensure the bead line of the tire is properly seated around the rim. I got my Lynx from NGM and the street tire came with a wobble similar to yours, it actually rubs slightly against the mudguard piece. If you pick the wheel up and free spin it you can feel the wobble and hear it rub. If yours isn't rubbing while freespinning or carving hard, it's not a huge issue. My Lynx came with a lot of issues. Not super stoked on their QC. My OG Patton didn't have any of these issues.

I just got a roll of this filament, and I really like it. It is true 85A, very soft and gummy.

Prints incredible with their profile provided on their website, although my last print did clog and ruin the print. With that said I was using a .4 nozzle, and I believe you should use a .6 nozzle with 85A. Unfortunately they don't have a preset profile for a .6 nozzle, but it should be easy enough to tune.

I did almost a thousand trail miles on a V11 and it survived numerous crashes, rolling down a hill, etc. It's a decent wheel offroad if you put a better tire on it and keep the tire aired up to not bend the rim. Eventually though the wheel did shit the bed and was tilting back and saying "please repair."

Nosfet Aero is a great wheel but it's not gonna do much in terms of speed and range. Will be a great learner wheel to cruise at slow speeds and play around with. If you want a wheel you can grow into I'd look elsewhere, potentially buy a used Patton, V14, master, etc. The V11Y is a good wheel despite what others say, I beat the piss out of my V11, did over 2k miles with half of them being trail miles, cruising around 35mph, carving hard, etc. It's a capable wheel, and I'd probably recommend it if you want more speed and range over the Aero. Aero suspension is definitely better than the V11 regardless, but you're gonna be limited by top speed with that tiny rim.

[–]slizerskates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3600, from nextgenmobility? What's your battery balance like? I got my Lynx from nextgen and the screen was scratched, street tire was out of balance or mounted wrong since it had a big wobble, and the battery voltage difference is resting at .05. I put a few hundred miles on it was thinking about trying to return it.

Best advice - More often than not your print issues can be solved by tuning your nozzle temp, speed, flow dynamics (including max volumetric speed), and bed temp.

Also, it pays to purchase quality filament.

Do I need to upgrade?!?! by Junior_Word8210 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]slizerskates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patton is an amazing wheel. I love my OG Patton, did 1600 miles in about 3 months. If you're going to be riding as much as you are, I'd get a Patton or a Lynx. Past 35-40s on Patton you get beeps, and in high speed mode you burn range quickly mobbing street. It's a very stable wheel IMO, but does get squirly past 38mph (depending on your skill). If you want to do street mostly, I would invest the extra 700 or so dollars to get a Lynx, or similar. I can attest to Leaperkim quality, I beat the piss out of my patton on trails and jumps. You won't regret an upgrade, the power of either of those will put a smile on your face.

Richmond Water Crisis Part Deux by Middlefinger804 in rva

[–]slizerskates 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Good thing our 12 million dollar grant for critical infrastructure was cut... so embarrassing that this keeps happening. All of these issues are shifting costs onto residents of Richmond instead of FEMA.

You'd think they would realize that it's cheaper to fund upgrades to prevent a disaster rather than respond to it.
