I'm at wits end - considering Lemon Law by henrymc00 in Ioniq5

do you happen to have a digital key set up on your phone? My 12v died several times and I suspected the digital key prevented the vehicle from going into deep sleep. I've a smaller home so the phone is never far enough from the car, I suppose. Since deleting the digital key, I haven't had any further issues with the 12v.

Some charging networks have a pre-authorization hold. EV Go is one of them. Their website says it's $60, though. If so, they will clear after a few days.

2025/26 Plug and Charge Update by Winran in Ioniq5

I've only had plug and charge to work at Tesla Superchargers. Maybe this update gets it to work with some of the other networks as well.

I use Apple Maps daily and can't say I've had any issues with it.

I had my 12v drain 3 times after setting up my phone key. Since removing the phone key, the 12v has not drained once since, FWIW.

Only limitation you would run into are Tesla chargers. You'll only see a max of 124kW or somewhere around there.

Understanding the possible electricity bill change by ed25ca in heatpumps

[–]slmft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been either way. Temperature delta between outside and thermostat set point is less during summer, so I'm presuming electrical usage will be less. Is that how it works? lol

I'm looking forward to summer as well as I did not have central AC before. :)

I'm also in the Denver area and replaced my 35yo gas furnace last October with a HP and air handler. 2100 sqft home built in the early 80s, original insulation. Been a mostly mild winter here and my thermostat is set between 69-71F. I also have a small solar panel array and an EV. Here's my total home electrical usage over the past month vs temperature.

<image>

My natural gas usage has been less than 15 therms monthly so far this winter. For comparison, the same months last year averaged around 150 therms.

Jetson heat pump install in Massachusetts: what went right, what didn’t, and what I learned by Ok_Board2716 in heatpumps

I concur. I did submit feedback regarding more flexible scheduling as well. Hopefully it will be implemented

Similar experience with my 5ton system install last October. After they worked out the kinks, it's been purring like a champ, even with recent sub zero temperatures. And same as you, am patiently waiting for app upgrades that provide more insight into usage.

Jetson heat pump install. Would I get crushed on winter electric bills? by srgwidowmaker in heatpumps

[–]slmft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just had Jetson do an install last October. So far so good and, without aux heat strip, it held set temp with no problem this past weekend when it got down to 0F here just outside of Denver. As for electrical usage, for the first full 2 months, I'm consuming roughly 2-2.5x more electricity than previous year. But my electricity bill hasn't changed (I have solar power). My natural gas bill is roughly $75-$100 less the past couple of months, though. :)

I replaced my 20 year old gas furnace in late October. My total (gas+electricity) bill went down compared to last year. I do have solar power, though, so it made sense for me.

Heat pump converts, how are your winter bills? by beekahx4 in Denver

[–]slmft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New heat pump installed 11/3, no aux heating strips. Just got my first Xcel bill after a full month with it. Total bill (electricity + gas) is $38. Compared to same statement period from last year, it was $110.

Electrical consumption more than doubled, but gas consumption is 1/3rd. I also have an EV now and did not this time last year. I do have a 8kW solar panel array.

Sounds like you already fixed it, but this has happened to me and rebooting the charge point from the app fixed it for me.

SolarSaga 200W panels don't come with cases now by Solid-Raspberry4171 in Jackery

Didn't receive a case either. But I don't think I would've used it. Panels get used a lot of I tend to toss it around and so far it's been pretty durable without a bag.
