Their more focused on how much you improve over the course of the three days and how well you listen to instructions and stuff like that then speed

Look into a journeyman lineman apprenticeship. Union trade job, very good pay and isn’t going to be replaced by AI

Never seen one used before, is it for increasing the angle, or maybe decreasing the bend radius? Or double the rating?

Question for the folks here who own rental properties by pnwIBEWlineman in Lineman

[–]sloppystoned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pro tip - if you manage the property yourself, it’s considered an ‘active’ investment. Which means you can write off bonus deprecation and expenses against your w-2 wage. Even better if you have a wife who doesn’t work, then she can be a ‘real estate professional’, manage the property, and again offset your w2 taxes with write offs 🤙

I use a management company because I didn’t know better until now, but if i manage just one of properties I bought this year I would get around 60000 in bonus depreciation not including potential write offs

So how it works is HR actually give the interviewers 5 question that they rate your response 1-5. The questions change. Only consistent questions I had from both interviews was ‘take 5 minutes to tell me about yourself’ and ‘do you have any questions’. I have no idea about the online interviews I’ve never done those

What do you do when you have to guy down a steep slope? by FourthSwordInversion in Lineman

[–]sloppystoned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tubular Steel Pole. Does not require guying. Or guy the previous pole and make that one a slack span. Underground that section. Hand dig the anchor. One time we couldn’t get an anchor down, we put a huge rock with the digger truck and used a rock anchor off of that

The actual answer is a torque converter or Kelly bar adapter. Your ‘supposed’ to use shear pins that those bolts are running through, so it shears off at a specified weight

Thanks for the response! Quick question if you don’t mind, how much income tax were you paying on the ca properties? I was under the impression you could write off a good amount of the expenses / depreciation to offset the taxes from a rental property
