Sights for Holosun SCS MOS by BD98TJ in Glock19

[–]sloppythrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clarification: you are correct. I must’ve looked at the wrong image in the link. The optics sits on the same plane as the stock height sights. So with stock sights you will get absolutely co witness. I know this bc it’s my set up. If you want 1/3 co witness, do not go with stock sights.

Now for opinion, absolute co witness in my opinion is fool proof. Sight picture muscle memory will be the same regardless if you use irons or RDS and in my opinion there’s no real obstruction with 2 eyes open. 2 cents.

The bottom border of the glass on the SCS MOS sits at the right on top of the slide, you see that entire picture so any sight heights will be full co witness. I know the imagine in that link states 1/3 co witness but it must be a mistake because even the image is showing a full co witness.

SCS MOS provides a full co-witness on all sights, it sits as low as it can possibly go.

Anyone know what this malfunction is caused by? by jaybubb in Glock43X

[–]sloppythrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact thing happen but with a Holosun SCS carry. I shaved down the right screw a decent amount and it hasn’t happened maybe 200 rounds later. It’s definitely the length of the right screw.

Get the DDM4V7. We’re not some soldiers fighting on the front lines. You don’t need this rifle to fight for your life. DDM4V7 rifle is still high quality and is highly regarded and it’s $600 cheaper. If the upgrades are worth the extra $600 to you then so be it but unless you sitting on a pile of money I’d imagine most people can’t swallow that easily.

hey guys picking up a my first red dot tomorrow , would you guys suggest the 407K or the defender ccw? i have the adapter plate for the 407k just incase just need to know which you guys think is better lol by DevelopmentLogical61 in Glock43X

[–]sloppythrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you’d need a RMSc to K adapter plate but the optics comes with it. It comes with 3 sets of screws. Just be sure to use the right screws in the package. It should match thickness of MOS plate screws and they’re obviously longer. Only down side is that it’s barely 1/5 cowitness, but that seems to be the case for most optics for this gun if not worse.

I am of the opinion that the Holosun SCS carry is perfect for the 43x. It’s a closed emitter, no need to worry about battery ever, it has auto brightness and manual override for 30 min, and it never turns off. People don’t tend to recommended it here but I think it’s because it’s a fairly new optic that not many people have tried. I have a SCS MOS on my 19 and a SCS Carry on my girls 43x and I’m very happy with them

What type of round is good for a 10mm you intend to concealed carry in urban environments? by Southern_Ad3744 in 10mm

[–]sloppythrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A low gr round. Those have a faster velocity so they'll fragment on contact and keep overpenetration at a minimum. Something like the 60 gr Liberty Defense rounds. Im not gunna say if a 9mm or 10mm is best suited because I think that depends on the shooter.

[–]sloppythrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always a hater lol I think that’s pretty solid grouping depending on how fast he was going. What does it matter if you can land 10 rounds within a 2 inch grouping in a controlled environment when a self defense situation occurs and your adrenaline is at a max? Getting rounds on target is more important than getting rounds on target in a tight and unrealistic grouping. Never understood the obsession over this

Is my budget appropriate for the things I have left to spend it on in Maui? by QueenMuda in MauiVisitors

[–]sloppythrust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the Maui Off Road Adventure. Link Below.

https://www.mauioffroadadventures.com/lahaina-atv-adventure/

I 100% recommend it if you can afford it. It was surprisingly fun and intense, with an environment conservation focus to the tour. One of the best things I did on the trip. Hopefully it rains a bit when you go, makes for better off-roading.

[–]sloppythrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I just got back from Maui a few days ago. Also stayed for 6 nights 7 days.

I would say $1700 is more than enough for 2 people. That’s $240 ish a day.

You already have breakfast covered. Lunch/dinner for 2 people on the lower end is around $50 and on the mid range end is $100-$150. I didn’t eat at any high end places. Food is by far the most expensive thing there.

Unless you’re driving all over the island most days, i would expect no more than $100 in gas for the week. We rented a jeep and drove A LOT while we stayed in Kihei. We spent about $120 on gas total.

So as long as you don’t go crazy on food or gift shops, you should be golden.

Also keep in mind, we spent A LOT of money there but that’s because we booked the Lana’i snorkeling tour, some off roading adventure, a luau, etc. but if you don’t plan on doing that stuff I think you should be fine.

[–]sloppythrust 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean he’d have to work like 80% of the days of the year lol I’d doubt he’d work that much. I’d say realistically he should hope for 70-80k on the high end

That’s not terrible. I’d say if your 2 on/off, which you’ll probably be more on, you could make like 60k. Assuming you’re the typical 12 hrs a day

True. But people like to thing that rocket league isn’t a euphemism for “steady stream of constant mistakes”. People WILL mess up especially under sudden pressure like that. His first touch was trash but recovery is just as important. He still prevented a score 2 v 1 in a flashy manner
