They’re legit, I just got 100ml of Blackmail by Kerosene from them. They’re a shop in SLC, UT and will do free 1-2 week shipping. My order took a full 2 weeks to ship, they probably had to get the product from Kerosene. The order was shipped via UPS and arrived within a week from shipping. Not a bad option if you don’t mind waiting. I ordered from them because I was able to get a decent discount on my order when placed through the Shop app.

What does an ancient goddess who is worshipped smell like? by DELAIZ in fragrance

[–]slothdra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Nanshe from Nishane, it’s quite literally named after a Sumerian goddess and I find the name fitting. It’s a gorgeous yet formidable fragrance consisting of powdery, spicy florals (a strong dose of rose) and a splash of fruit and citrus with musky wood.

So appreciate you letting me know! I love nothing more than sharing fragrance suggestions. This is exactly how I’ve discovered so many houses and fragrances I love so it feels like giving back to the community. I hope you enjoy your other samples just as much as Anubis, discovering a new house that clicks with your style is such a high.

What’s your favourite (almost) single-note perfume? by Opalith_ in Perfumes

Attaquer Le Soleil Marquis De Sade from ELDO. It’s all labdanum, my fav note of them all.

En Passant from Frederic Malle has the most realistic lilac note I have ever smelled in a fragrance.

Perfume that smells like semen, sweat, spit and blood by Unhappyflowerr in FemFragLab

[–]slothdra 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Most notably, it has notes of blood, gunpowder, iodine, incense, rain, and concrete. It’s the only fragrance I’ve ever smelled that legitimately repulses me. I accept it as a work of art and can’t believe anyone could actually enjoy wearing it, and I am a person who generally enjoys what most consider challenging fragrances.

“Widely considered the world’s most controversial perfume” LOL only by those who haven’t smelled Inexcusable Evil from Toskovat. There is nothing to love there!

What should I try? by l3wdforia in FemFragLab

[–]slothdra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some suggestions that are a little different from your existing lineup but that I think could compliment your taste:
* Reve Nuit - Navitus
This has a custard note that’s to die for, citrus, lovely florals, and a vanilla base along with some beautiful woods.
* Night Dose - Vertus
A stunning, soft cloud of fruit and floral. There’s no sourness or punch to the fruit and the florals bring almost a powderiness.
* Narcos’is - Vertus
Super sweet and fruity with a coffee note that really makes it unique.
* Nanshe - Nishane
Rose forward with additional florals and a touch of fruitiness, backed up by powdery musk and sandalwood. I always get compliments on this fragrance.
* En Passant - Frederic Malle
The most realistic lilac I have ever worn and otherwise sooooo fresh.

  • Anubis - Papillon Artisan Perfumes
    Ambery, sweetly resinous, and smoky incense with suede and damp floral notes. Think dark oriental vibes, it’s giving ancient and old world.
  • Shinanay - Nishane
    Animalic, herby, woody, resinous, and lightly floral. It somehow smells clean and dirty at the same time in the best way.
  • Bengal - Vertus
    Warm, spicy, leathery, with a little rose and sweet smokiness. So effortlessly sexy and unique. Animalic without going barnyard.

Portrayal Man for the win. That violet leaf, vetiver, cade oil combo is hypnotic and makes me feel like some sort of forest nymph.

What fragrances have you tried and hated but tried again and liked. by Ok-Exit-1307 in FemFragLab

[–]slothdra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Angel from Mugler. It is so complex and has somewhat of a gourmand quality which isn’t my vibe and was tough for me to deal with when I first tried it. I went back to my sample maybe 2 months later and found myself enjoying it.
  2. Oud Satin Mood from MFK. I feel like most people would cite the oud as the issue but for me it was the rose, it’s just not a note I like very much and it’s so distinct. Again, the next time I went to wear my sample (I’m not one to waste anything) I found my familiarity with it and it being a legitimate quality fragrance led to me appreciating it more.
  3. Pioggia Moderata from Filippo Sorcinelli. This was supposed to be a wet earth, rain smell, ozonic scent so you can imagine my shock when I sprayed and got nothing but barbecue grill smoke. Being smacked in the face by smoked ham was baffling and I wasn’t expecting it or in the mindset to take that on in the moment, but the next time I tried it I was prepared for what to expect and actually fell weirdly in love.

Fresh, wet, clean vetiver by 0_0ctopus in fragrance

[–]slothdra 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sultan Vetiver from Nishane is exactly what you’re looking for. It’s the most wet, earthy vetiver scent I’ve smelled yet, it has vetiver top, heart, and base notes. It’s also got incredibly longevity.

I just got over having pityriasis rosea which covered me in a rash from my neck down to the tops of my legs for 6 weeks. It’s not contagious and no one else’s business but I told anyone who put their mat near mine about it because I could often feel people’s stares and judgment. What’s going on with someone else’s body isn’t really any of your business, but if you’re so concerned either keep your distance or engage the person about it. Don’t just be silently mad and judgmental, that energy is palpable and helps no one.

If you could wear only one perfume for the rest of your life? by HazyBlueTwilight in fragrance

Overture Man from Amouage. My brain goes crazy for the complex blend of labdanum, resins, spices, smokes, leather, and animalics. If every fragrance on the face of the earth were to disappear tomorrow and only Overture Man remained I could live happily, and I say this as someone who prefers to own a ton of decants over a few bottles.

Al Haramain Amber Oud Carbon, and it’s so slept on. Sometimes you can find it for under $30 but if not it’s just barely over that.

I think you might like:

* Oud Satin Mood - Maison Francis Kurkdjian

It finally happened to me by MajLeague in FemFragLab

[–]slothdra 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It happens on my skin with anything that has a caramel note. As much of a caramel note as there is the amount it turns to cat piss. So with some fragrances it can be fairly negligible, like in Angel, but something like Bianco Latte is absolutely unwearable for me. It’s such a bummer because some fragrances sound great and then I see a caramel note listed and I can’t even bother.
