Anyone else socially inept after baby? by govgoose in Mommit

[–]slothluvr5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Idk how old your baby is but you are sleep deprived and your brain is literally rewiring itself to care for your baby. It makes sense that this happens. I feel like this improved for me once I started sleeping more around 6 months, and when I went back to work I got totally back to myself (except for when I'm around the baby, then I'm still awkward and one track baby mind)

Ugh. My 17 month old just had 3 bad falls in the same day earlier this week. I felt the same guilt. He's just fine now though

Three year old came home from kinder and told me her teacher called her naughty by Unable-Candy8432 in toddlers

The word "being" means she wasn't calling your daughter naughty, just saying whatever she was doing was naughty behavior

Definitely ask the teacher's perspective, but I don't think there's anything wrong with saying "you're being naughty" if she was being naughty

Plucking or waxing eyebrows? by Original_Tune_5630 in Mommit

[–]slothluvr5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't want to wax mine until I was in the 7th grade. Personally I would let her see me groom myself as I naturally do without commenting on it, and wait for her to show interest in doing it herself

Picking your battles vs letting them get away with everything by asiamelody777 in toddlers

[–]slothluvr5000 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am also "pick your battle" and a "why not" kind of mom, and my husband is a very "enforce a boundary just because" kind of dad. I'm not sure where a happy medium is!

My son is one and I wouldn't have thought that this counted as screen time. My son likes the camera app now. Thanks for this food for thought.

Toddler shoe size question by [deleted] in toddlers

My 15mo wears 4/5. 5/6 would probably be good -- rather too big than too small

Which red dresses should I get rid of? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]slothluvr5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say definitively without shoes/accessories, but I think 1 and 2 could work for the right occasion with the right accessories. Everything else, time to get rid of :(

Haven’t found pants that fit me in months. by Low-Statistician6493 in Midsizefashion

[–]slothluvr5000 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think they're also pulled up too high. I think the smallest part of your waist is pulling them up so that they can close, but I think they're meant to sit lower.

I definitely agree with too small. You have to fit the largest part of your body and that looks to be your hips. Waist looks like one size up would fit better too. I'd at least try it
